Rodgers breaks Favre's GB single-season TD record

The Packers had people worried early, losing to the Chiefs 6-0 as late as five minutes into the second half. But Aaron Rodgers hit Donald Driver for a two-yard touchdown pass to give Green Bay a 7-6 lead.

Oh, and to set the Packers franchise record for single-season touchdown passes. You've probably heard of the guy Rodgers passed: Brett Favre.

Last week against Oakland, Rodgers tied Favre's record, throwing his 39th touchdown pass of the season.

And now Rodgers holds the record himself, having thrown 40 touchdowns and only six interceptions on the season. Though KC is playing well and Green Bay doesn't look like the team that's steamrolled everyone else this season, the Packers are still leading.

Given the Chiefs likely production on offense, Rodgers and company are probably in a race to 21 for a win, which means if the undefeated season continues, Rodgers will likely need to add to his own record.

Rodgers breaks Favre's GB single-season TD record

How'd the Bears do today by the way?

I think your rolling on the floor must be over the continued collapse of your Bears.

Have fun watching other teams play in the playoffs while your Bears enter an early offseason.

Packers too worried about records

The Packers were thinking about an undefeated streak, a passing record: heck, they were even thinking about Tim Tebow, who isn't playing them this week.  Apparently, they were thinking about everything except taking care of business against the worst team in the league.

A Packers player whined about the coverage Tim Tebow gets, whined about the so-called lack of coverage for Aaron Rodgers, and even made fun of God when he complained about Tebow refusing to take credit for his play.  I guess the Packers now understand that you just don't mess with God.

I guess they got their way.  For at least the next few hours, the Packers are the biggest story in the league.
