The Giants have had some tough losses this season, including last week's no-show performance against the Redskins. Saturday against the Jets in their biggest game of the season, the Giants came to play, defeated the Jets in a game that was closer than the score indicated, and will now host the Cowboys in Week 17 in what amounts to a playoff game.

The 29-14 victory over the Jets knocked the Eagles out of the postseason conversation, leaving the Giants and Cowboys as the last two teams standing in the NFC East.

As for the Jets, they're in a tough spot. They were the No. 6 seed and the final wild-card team heading into Saturday's action. But their loss to the Jets -- coupled with the Bengals defeating the Cardinals -- means that Cincy is now the No. 6 seed and the Jets are on the outside looking in. Also: if the Jets lose in Miami next Sunday, their season's a wrap. If they win, they'll also need the Ravens to beat the Bengals. Another playoff-related tidbit: if the Bengals win and the Steelers beat the Browns, Pittsburgh wins the AFC North.
