The 2012 Pro Bowl teams unveiled

wow what homerism.....

"Remember, Stafford's numbers may look better. But he's not as clutch. "

do you even watch anyone else besides the giants? not clutch? how many times did stafford bring the lions back from double digits this year?

" And remember Stafford, for all his talent, still often falls back on the "throw it up to Megatron in triple coverage, he'll come down with it anyway."

what about the games when megatron was shut down and they STILL won? vs minny 3 catches for 29 but detroit still won. plenty of other games where the defenses put doubles on him the whole game and detroit used him as a decoy.

"Eli, meanwhile, has objectively had one of the very, very worst offensive lines in football protecting him,"

wow you must of NEVER watched the lions play before. never seen jeff sackus oops i mean backus or raiola or peterman or any other bum detroit has had on OL for 10 years or so. stafford has been sacked 8 more times than manning this year.

" has absolutely zero run game"

detroits leading rusher has 390 yds. the only reason we can get any kind of positive run is because the fear stafford/megatron put in to the defense.

"and is throwing to receivers who have hands of stone. I cringe every time the ball goes to Hakeem Nicks or Mario Manningham. Nicks has dropped 6 passes in the last 2 games, including 2 would-be TDs."

once again you must NEVER watch the lions. for as good as burelson and pettigrews numbers are, they both have alot of dropped passes this year. the only difference between manning and stafford is that on the next play after a drop stafford makes a play. you act like manning has no weapons. cruz has 76 catches for 1358 if he didnt drop the ball ALL the time like you suggest his numbers would be crazy good.....then you have hakeem nicks with 71 catches for 1116 yards......two 1000 yard recievers is hardly not having weapons. and i would take bradshaw and jacobs over kevin smith, maurice morris and keiland williams anytime.

" And if anyone ever again says that Eli Manning is in the Pro Bowl because of his NAME, I will SCREAM"

well start screaming because thats what it boiled down to. the NFL needs at least 1 manning in the pro bowl.  but hey if going 9-27 is pro bowl worthy than ill scream!

ok lets look at it this way- put stafford in eli's shoes and see how many wins he gets ok. eli's body of work with this offense is why he is in the pro bowl. have you seen the giants defense and name me one of the giants reveiver you heard about at the beginning of the season. the rushing offense is dead last in the league. basically eli is the team if you have paid attention you would have known. so put stafford in that situation and see what he does. by the way most of stafford td were because of calvin johnson lets be real ok, i mean he threw the rock in double and triple coverage hoping johnson would catch it which he often did. put johnson with eli and he would have more td than stafford has this season so far. how many comeback wins did stafford had in the 4th quarter??

Eli over Stafford?  What a joke.   Stafford has 10 more TDs, 2 less INTs, a higher rating, a higher completion percentage, more completions, more attempts, and more wins.   The only things Eli has are 69 more yards and 1 Hall of Fame daddy.

His daddy is not in the Hall of Fame. His daddy also has absolutely no impact on why people and players vote for him. Eli was voted in over Stafford because Eli was better in the clutch, had significantly fewer weapons, and yet produced a comparable season. See my comprehensive post below, and get your head out of your butt.

I believe an injured Matt Forte will get replaced either by Marshawn Lynch or Michael Turner. Two headscratchers: Victor Cruz and Matthew Stafford not making it. On the quarterbacks of the AFC, with Peyton Manning and Matt Schaub being injured, it didn't surprise me that Ben Rothlisberger and Philip Rivers made it. There were a lot of mediocure QBs in the AFC this year statwise, nothing that really jumped out like jaw-dropping numbers the QBs of the NFC.

How can u say Roethlisberger doesn't deserve to go, other than Brady name another AFC qb who deserves it. It's not always about the numbers even though Ben's aren't to bad.
