Michael Philbin hasn't been seen since Sunday morning.By Josh Katzowitz

UPDATED (5:43 p.m. ET): ESPN Milwaukee's Jason Wilde is reporting that the Packers players have been told that the body has been indentified as Michael Philbin.

Earlier in the day, here's what coach Mike McCarthy had to say: "The Philbin family is obviously going through a tough time. As we always have, we're family-first in this organization. We're supporting Joe and his family the best we can, and we're holding out hope that this comes to a positive conclusion."

According to WFRV out of Green Bay, Oshkosh police are not releasing the name of the body due to "family wishes." Foul play is not suspected, but the investigation of the incident is still under investigation.

From the Twitter account of Giants defensive end Justin Tuck, whose squad faces Green Bay this weekend: "Our prayers go out to the Philbin family and Packer nation for their loss."

UPDATED (5:03 p.m. ET):
According to the, a body has been recovered from the river but no positive ID has been made yet.

Police said the body of a man between the ages of 20-25 was recovered in about 15 feet of water, 30 yards from the shore at about 3 p.m. Monday.

Police in Oshkosh, Wis., are searching for a person who might have fallen through the ice and into the Fox River, and at the same time, police are asking for help from the public to locate the whereabouts of 21-year-old Michael T. Philbin, the son of Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin.

As the reports, divers began to search for the missing person early Sunday when a man reported he thought he heard somebody crying out for help from the river about 2:30 a.m.

Michael Philbin was last heard from early Sunday while he was on a trip to visit friends at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He spoke to somebody on his cell phone about 2 a.m., and he wasn’t reported missing until about 8 p.m. Sunday. Police do not suspect foul play.

The police, though, are treating the missing persons report and the possible drowning as two separate incidents.

Philbin is described as 5-foot-11 and 155 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with any information on Philbin is asked to call Oshkosh police at (920) 236-5700.

In the past week, Joe Philbin has interviewed for the head coaching jobs for the Chiefs and the Dolphins.

"The Packers organization is aware of the missing person report regarding Michael Philbin, son of offensive coordinator Joe Philbin," the Packers said in a statement released Monday. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the Philbin family during this difficult time. We ask anyone with information about Michael to contact the Oshkosh Police Department."

Report: Body of Joe Philbin's son positively ID'd

"For ALL have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God."
Please don't talk about Judgement, without speaking of God's grace, and the atonement for our sins. Especially in a secular forum. Otherwise, you fit into the stereotypical "hycocritic Christian" that every non-believer LOVES to use as a reason to stay clear of even exploring God. Is it your fault if people choose not to believe? Of course not. However, there is a reason Jesus taught men to be "fishers of men." Sticking with Jesus' analagy, Spewing out stuff like that,  you may as well be putting "poop" on a hook, and tossing it in the river, hoping for a bite. If your goal is to NOT catch any "fish", by all means, continue. Also, to those believers who make snide comments to non-believers, about "how ridiculous" it is to believe that "something came from nothing," ...check yourself before you wreck yourself. Just because they say our beliefs are ridiculous, does not give us the right to say the same about theirs. Otherwise, what does distinguish our character from theirs? If we are called to be "salt" which gives flavor, and "light" which gives direction, how can we claim to be this, if we simply blend in with our behavior? Trying to use practical thinking in an argument with someone who believes ONLY in science is absolutely futile... a complete waste of time. Stop using what you believe is rational thinking to argue with those who don't believe in the existence of God... focus more on being "salt and light." Your behavior, ie, the way you respond and act in every-day situations, is what may penetrate someone's heart. Trying to penetrate their minds, using snide comments, that YOU THINK are rational, to explain to a "science-guy" that it makes more sense to believe in a creator who said "Let the earth be," and poof, there it was? You only look like a fool to them. The idea isn't to win any arguments... only to win people. Winning arguments does not win people. Besides that, find me one Atheist who will admit that he lost an argument to a believer, and has since changed his thinking. Not going to happen.

If anyone wants to see the true heart of God, look no further than Jesus....the ONLY person to have ever lived a blameless life.

This isn't a religious forum, I understand. My temp rises when I see believers say such things, so my fingers responded all by themselves ;)

As for the Philbin family, to lose a child must be the most heart-wrenching thing any parent could experience. My thoughts are with them, and I hope they are able to come out of this. God bless that family...

This is an unfortunate tragedy for the Philbin family and friends.  I hope Michael wasn't on 'something' or that he didn't decide to take his own life in this circumstance.  We all have our sets of demons and they manifest themselves in different ways.  Sometimes no amount of parenting, guidance or discipline can change someone's path unless they want to change it.

On a second note, please stop with the preaching!  No matter what your beliefs, no one can claim to know any more about the origins of the universe than another.  Let this stand alone as an unfortunate mishap and not the doings of a just 'God'.  This whole mindset is why the world is in such turmoil today.

Yikes, this story has nothing to do with religion. Couple of points though-everyone is a hypocrite; christian or not. A lot of people confuse being christian to being perfect. The big bang theory is just that, a theory. No one is able to prove that nothing exploded into matter; which is what our textbooks tell us. Not very scientific. But anyway, rape or no rape, christian or atheist or other..the loss of a child is hard to bear and unimaginable to most. Just a sad situation all around..

Matt. 7:1   "Do not judge, or you too will be judged...For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged...and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you...Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye" your preachin' HypocriteMan

I feel bad for his parnets, it's horrible to have to bury your child.  This young man clearly had a checkered past.  What he was convicted of sickens me. I don't know if Karma played a role in this young mans death or if it was just his time only "GOD" knows.  I have to laugh at some of the previous comments, seems some people believe that man, earth and all of it's creatures just hatched by themselves.

Good Luck to the Packers on what will be a tough weekend emotionally.
