Michael Philbin hasn't been seen since Sunday morning.By Josh Katzowitz

UPDATED (5:43 p.m. ET): ESPN Milwaukee's Jason Wilde is reporting that the Packers players have been told that the body has been indentified as Michael Philbin.

Earlier in the day, here's what coach Mike McCarthy had to say: "The Philbin family is obviously going through a tough time. As we always have, we're family-first in this organization. We're supporting Joe and his family the best we can, and we're holding out hope that this comes to a positive conclusion."

According to WFRV out of Green Bay, Oshkosh police are not releasing the name of the body due to "family wishes." Foul play is not suspected, but the investigation of the incident is still under investigation.

From the Twitter account of Giants defensive end Justin Tuck, whose squad faces Green Bay this weekend: "Our prayers go out to the Philbin family and Packer nation for their loss."

UPDATED (5:03 p.m. ET):
According to the, a body has been recovered from the river but no positive ID has been made yet.

Police said the body of a man between the ages of 20-25 was recovered in about 15 feet of water, 30 yards from the shore at about 3 p.m. Monday.

Police in Oshkosh, Wis., are searching for a person who might have fallen through the ice and into the Fox River, and at the same time, police are asking for help from the public to locate the whereabouts of 21-year-old Michael T. Philbin, the son of Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin.

As the reports, divers began to search for the missing person early Sunday when a man reported he thought he heard somebody crying out for help from the river about 2:30 a.m.

Michael Philbin was last heard from early Sunday while he was on a trip to visit friends at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He spoke to somebody on his cell phone about 2 a.m., and he wasn’t reported missing until about 8 p.m. Sunday. Police do not suspect foul play.

The police, though, are treating the missing persons report and the possible drowning as two separate incidents.

Philbin is described as 5-foot-11 and 155 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with any information on Philbin is asked to call Oshkosh police at (920) 236-5700.

In the past week, Joe Philbin has interviewed for the head coaching jobs for the Chiefs and the Dolphins.

"The Packers organization is aware of the missing person report regarding Michael Philbin, son of offensive coordinator Joe Philbin," the Packers said in a statement released Monday. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the Philbin family during this difficult time. We ask anyone with information about Michael to contact the Oshkosh Police Department."

Have some respect, you left wing loons!!!!!  I think there are more important things here than your political agenda.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Philibin family.

Any of you writing your political bs on here are ridiculous...whether it be fox or any other in our world is for people to sift through the gargage and read on your own and decide what you think is true or not......not just believe what you are told and in any case nobody cares what any of you think politically...this is a sports site so lets keep it that way and keep your idealistic fantasies whether they be right or left wing to yourself or post it on political websites with the other close minded folks

@slogun, if it were fox news reporting this we would never have any facts. They clooud it with half truths and BS like they do every other story. By the time O'Reilly or Hannity got done with the story they would make it into a happy story as they would go where the people are, NY. You know NY plays GB so hey make it a good story, hell make it the happiest story since Bing Crosby danced with Danny F***ing Kaye.  I am just making the point that @slogun has the typical Fox attitude. That of a dumbshit that follows their BS blindly. RIP young Philbin. Prayers to the Philbin family and those associated with the family.

Hey I don't know the details of the case, but from what I do know the charge was sexual assault not rape. Sexual assault could be grabbing a girls ass on a dance floor or trying to kiss a girl then she freaks out. You never know about these things. You shouldn't judge without knowing the facts.

Just because his dad has a good job doesn't mean crap. For the same reason the justice system could make an example out of him or the girls could have made the allegations for the same reason thinking they would have a bennefit.

I have no sympothy for sex offenders at all. But I also think the label is to often placed on good people too.

If you don't know the facts don't say crap.

If you know the facts then share them.

It amazes me how pathetic and cruel people can be behind a keyboard. Just know, they are gutless, miserable morons whose only joy comes from the sorrow of others. Sometimes that makes me feel a little better about it, but the high amount of comments that people make really makes me afraid for the future.

Report: Body of Joe Philbin's son positively ID'd

This is terrible and my heart goes out to the family and freinds.  Also, a terrible job by CBS not making this more of a headline.  I understand the meaningless SEC game last night has to take front stage but seriously, if it was not for Fox NEWS I may not have even noticed it.  Priorities CBS, priorities please.

Yea, right...if it wasn't for FOX News none of us would know what is going on in the world.

Come on...this is a sports site. There for their priorty here is sports.
