Report: Ochocinco attending dad's funeral today

By Josh Katzowitz

Chad Ochocinco is not in New England today and missed practice Friday, and according to the Boston Herald, it’s because the Patriots wide receiver has flown home to Fort Lauderdale for his father’s funeral today.

He left at 6 p.m. ET Friday night to fly to Florida.

The paper writes that Ochocinco plans to return to New England by Sunday’s game, but that’s no sure bet considering the amount of weather problems on the Eastern Seaboard.

As Ian Rapoport writes, “The two had a complicated relationship, but Ochocinco decided the right thing to do was to attend the funeral. The two did talk regularly before his passing.”

Report: Ochocinco attending dad's funeral today

This would make such a cool movie. A pro athlete hitting his lowest point in his career, flies to his father's funeral, then pulls off a planes, trains, automobiles-esque journey to get back to Foxborough for his first ever championship game where he catches the game winning TD or something.

But seriously, good luck to Chad, love this guy.

The funny thing is, when a troll dies, nobody but the trolls family will even notice that they aren't around anymore, or ever even existed actually. How's that make you feel cellar dwellers? No one will even care to troll about you once you kick. Talk about the height of irrelevance. Now back to your regularly scheduled trolling Patriot haters. LOL!

Report: Ochocinco attending dad's funeral today

These last few posts are indicative of some of the idiots that post on this board. The man lost his father, what the hell is wrong with you mental midgets. This is not about the Patriots or football at all. Who cares who likes which team in this case. Grow up morons.

Very Strange.  If true, may both find peace.

However, my souces report that Oucho was with Brayon 'hands of stone' Edwards and Donte Stallworth at South Beach.  They were drinkin' and Braylon and Donte were giving Chad tips on how to improve his route running, blocking and catching. And of course, they downed a few bottles of Ripple (nobody in this group can afford expensive stuff with their current contracts).
