AriansBy Josh Katzowitz

Only a scant few days after former Steelers assistant Bruce Arians supposedly retired from coaching,it sounds like he has a new job.

According to a tweet from XTRA 910’s Mike Jurecki, Arians “is likely to become the next coordinator of the Colts.” Later, ESPN's Adam Schefter wrote that Arians has agreed to the job and will fly to Indianapolis on Monday to "to review and sign [the] contract."

So much for retirement, eh?

Well, it sounds like that’s not exactly what happened at the end of Arians’ tenure in Pittsburgh, especially since reports have emerged that Arians’ expiring contract would not have been renewed and that team president Art Rooney II didn’t give Arians a reason why the team was letting him go.

But the release of Arians might cause Pittsburgh more problems, because an obviously-displeased quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said he will march up to Rooney’s office and figure out why Arians wasn’t retained.

Pagano, the Ravens defensive coordinator, matched wits with Arians twice last season, and Baltimore held Pittsburgh to a combined 27 points in dealing the Steelers two losses.

The two also coached together with the Browns from 2001-03, so there should be plenty of familiarity between the two.

I love this move by the Colts. It will set them back for a good 10 years. Unless the head coach forces Arians to take his head out in the red zone. Manning will ignore him if he stays. Luck will not make it through a season with Arians in charge. One less team the Steelers have to worry about.

Yeah but, would YOU give a black coach real power in an organization you owned. I mean, c'mon seriously!! I wouldn't! The Rooney Rule is just some crap to save face with the pathetic lowlifes Al Sharpton and Jesse J. and the damn black community.....

Interesting, I guess he didnt wear out his welcome too bad since Arians was the QB coach in Indy till Mora got tired of him.  No reason to bring in a QB coach that Manning actually liked and then dump Manning, but hey. Im the one that says the Colts should call Miami and trade for the first overall pick for Jake Long and the third overall pick and get RG3.

"bg ben is immature. pittsburg loses games when big ben is hurt"

Actually, back in 2010 when Big Ben was brought up on those rape charges, they did suspend him for four games at the start of that season and they won 3 of the four, from what I can immediately recall.....
