INDIANAPOLIS -- If all of us can speculate about Rob Gronkowski’s ankle and whether he can play this Sunday, there’s no reason why Madonna shouldn’t weigh in on the subject as well.

So, when she was asked by a Boston TV reporter at her press conference Thursday if she thought Gronkowski would play this Sunday, she said she hoped he would (“So do I,” the reporter responded). The reporter also asked how she would respond if she suffered a high ankle sprain before her halftime performance.

“A lot of people would say I’m a masochist,” said Madonna, who's trying to work through a hamstring injury ((seriously). “I would just tape my ankle and say prayers. Take an anti-inflammatory and get my butt out there.”

Here’s hoping Gronkowski draws inspiration from those words.

In other news, a very nervous Buccaneers defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, representing the OCNN, asked Madonna what advice she would give to a young football player who planned on a long career. The answer was uninteresting, but on his follow-up, McCoy asked if he could have a kiss after the press conference.

Madonna sweetly smiled and shook her head. A stunning rebuke on what had been, up until that point, a jovial occasion.

And yet, given all the "slut" wisecracks, everyone - the NFL included - will act surprised and shocked when her halftime show proves to be controversial. Somebody needs to tell the NFL they can't have it both ways. They're either going to be boring and lame (say, the Dave Matthews Band yawning through a set) or they're going to be edgy (Prince jacking off his guitar). They keep trying to do the former with the latter, and it never seems to work. Go figure.

Madonna seeks to inspire Gronkowski

Something tells me given Modanna's past track record that's not all she intends to do for Gronkowski!  Who knows, maybe based on his performance, he might inspire her to write a song.

Madonna seeks to inspire Gronkowski

How?  We can only imagine.

Meanwhile Oucho Stinko is trying to inspire himself.  That is big, considering he will be on the sidelines in street clothes for the big game.

Good lord - This is another reason that the Bucs should cut Gerald McCoy.  Five year contract for $63 million??????  What exactly has this guy done for the Bucs beside count cash?  He woke up for 3 game @ the end of Nov & beginning of Dec in 2010 before getting injured and then fell back asleep in 2011.  Cut him, take the cap hit (Bucs are well under the cap anyway), and sign some decent free agents.  This guy is a clown that forgot how to play football once he left Oklahoma.  &nbs
p;

Madonna?  Dude has lost his mind.  Someone needs to tell Gerald that there are a lot of 50+ women in Tampa that have fewer VD's than her. I would get a Hep B test if that crusty ole skank got w/ in 3 feet of me.

Now I've seen it all.  Madonna giving football advice (something she knows nothing about).  What's next?  Madonna passing out "promise bracelets" to teenage girls.  Give me a break.  Gronk would have more credibilty giving Madonna acting advice then her giving him fitness and football advice.
