In general, Tom Brady leads a charmed life. He's an NFL quarterback, three-time Super Bowl champ, UGG spokesman -- and the cherry on top -- he's married to supermodel Gisele Bündchen. Yes, the Patriots fell to the Giants Sunday night in Super Bowl XLVI, and yes Brady was distraught by the outcome, but in the scheme of things, it won't define his career.

Of course, the criticism in the hours after the loss were swift and, well, critical. Brady was accused of a horrible performance even though he started 20 of 24, broke Joe Montana's Super Bowl completion record in the process, then suffered a Justin Tuck sack that changed everything. He finished the night 7 of 17 and a slightly off-target throw to Wes Welker with four minutes to go ultimately proved to be the difference.

Gisele, who was at the game, had to endure jeers and taunts from Giants fans as she left her suite at Lucas Oil Stadium.

“Eli rules!” screamed one fan. “Eli owns your husband!” yelled another.

Gisele's response?

“You (have) to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball,” she snapped back, according to CBS New York. “My husband cannot (bleeping) throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

Welker took full responsibility for not coming down with a Brady throw that was also high and behind him.

"The ball is right there," Welker said when asked if he was looking for it on the other shoulder. "I've just got to make the play. It's a play I've made a thousand times in practice and everything else. It comes to the biggest moment of my life and I don't come up with it. It's discouraging."

Brady, for his part, didn't waver in his support of Welker.

"Wes was running down the field and it looked like they messed the coverage up a little bit and I threw it to him," said Brady. "(Welker) went up to try and make it, as he always does, and we just couldn't connect. He's a hell of a player. I'll keep throwing the ball to him for as long as I possible can. He's a phenomenal player and teammate and I love that guy."

Apparently, a TMZ source says that Brady's teammates are "disappointed" and feel betrayed by Gisele's comments.

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

Come on guys she was just defending(no pun intended) her husband. I could have done w/o her expletives which really made her look classless but she was obviously as frustrated as other Pats fans were. I am not one of them. Having said that there is enough blame to go around for their loss including the pick by Tom and the intentional grounding call. She is right the receivers who typically make those catches, didnt. Happens. The Giants know they dodged a bullet esp the fumbles. Had NE not had 12 guys on the field it would have NE's ball and the recovery by the Giants player on another fumble. Throw in the incredible catch by Manningham, the pick, the punter who constantly put NE in bad field position, Justin Tuck's sack, and pretty good plays esp the Oline and several good D plays. Tom Brady is a heck of a quarterback but he had a lot of pressure on him because they didnt have much of a running game. I really thought he was going to pull a Doug Flutie on that last pass in the end zone. Didnt happen. Gisele makes big bucks - more than her husband - but yesterday was not her finest hour looks wise or otherwise.

I would call her Yoko but lets be honest, the Patriots are nothing like the Beatles. The Beatles were #1.

You should blame yourself for the defeat. Ever since Tom Terrific left his old supermodel and their kid for you, He is winless in the Big Game. It is called Mal Occhio in Italian or just plain ex girlfriend's curse.
LOL good one,

However, for Gisele the Mal Occhio is child's play. Don't forget where she comes from they still have human sacrifices and shrunken heads. In fact, Welker better keep his helmet strapped on on til next season if he knows whats good for him.

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

At a time of political correctness and public second guessing it becomes easy to condemn Gisele for blaming her husband's receivers for the Pats losing.  I love it.  She was getting heckled by Giants' fans, was irritated because her man lost the game and probably was not looking forward to an evening of Tommy bemoaning the evening's events.  Taking a shot with expletives deleted or otherwise is the kind of feisty woman I would love to have.  That her legs go up to her shoulders makes it all the sweeter.

If we only have Gisele's comments to occupy our time our lives must be more than empty.  Vapid is a good word.
I completely agree with your assesment, however, don't think Gisele was actually watching rhe game. She only lifted her head for a brief period of time between tweets to watch Madonna perform Vogue with her troupe of aging acrobatic transvestites. Gisele received a tweet from Carol Alt (former supermodel flame of NY Ranger Ron Greschner) that informed her that if Tom Tom threw one more TD pass it would earn the hat trick. Rumor has it that Gisele doled out a fiercer beating to Tom Tom for losing the game, than a Justin Tuck sack.
