In general, Tom Brady leads a charmed life. He's an NFL quarterback, three-time Super Bowl champ, UGG spokesman -- and the cherry on top -- he's married to supermodel Gisele Bündchen. Yes, the Patriots fell to the Giants Sunday night in Super Bowl XLVI, and yes Brady was distraught by the outcome, but in the scheme of things, it won't define his career.

Of course, the criticism in the hours after the loss were swift and, well, critical. Brady was accused of a horrible performance even though he started 20 of 24, broke Joe Montana's Super Bowl completion record in the process, then suffered a Justin Tuck sack that changed everything. He finished the night 7 of 17 and a slightly off-target throw to Wes Welker with four minutes to go ultimately proved to be the difference.

Gisele, who was at the game, had to endure jeers and taunts from Giants fans as she left her suite at Lucas Oil Stadium.

“Eli rules!” screamed one fan. “Eli owns your husband!” yelled another.

Gisele's response?

“You (have) to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball,” she snapped back, according to CBS New York. “My husband cannot (bleeping) throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

Welker took full responsibility for not coming down with a Brady throw that was also high and behind him.

"The ball is right there," Welker said when asked if he was looking for it on the other shoulder. "I've just got to make the play. It's a play I've made a thousand times in practice and everything else. It comes to the biggest moment of my life and I don't come up with it. It's discouraging."

Brady, for his part, didn't waver in his support of Welker.

"Wes was running down the field and it looked like they messed the coverage up a little bit and I threw it to him," said Brady. "(Welker) went up to try and make it, as he always does, and we just couldn't connect. He's a hell of a player. I'll keep throwing the ball to him for as long as I possible can. He's a phenomenal player and teammate and I love that guy."

Apparently, a TMZ source says that Brady's teammates are "disappointed" and feel betrayed by Gisele's comments.

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

At a time of political correctness and public second guessing it becomes easy to condemn Gisele for blaming her husband's receivers for the Pats losing.  I love it.  She was getting heckled by Giants' fans, was irritated because her man lost the game and probably was not looking forward to an evening of Tommy bemoaning the evening's events.  Taking a shot with expletives deleted or otherwise is the kind of feisty woman I would love to have.  That her legs go up to her shoulders makes it all the sweeter.

If we only have Gisele's comments to occupy our time our lives must be more than empty.  Vapid is a good word.

And we are suppose to care what a super model thinks?  She ought to do what a model does best. Smile, keep her mouth shut, and do what others tell her to do. Isn't that what she gets paid for?

Nice to know even superstar athletes have real guy problems. His woman butting her nose in his career and shooting her mouth off about stuff she has no clue about. My pathetic life just got better.

I wish my wife would speak up once in while. The girl loves her guy. The players will give Brady a hard time for a while. "Get control of your wife". LOL! What man controls his wife? NONE.

Note to Gisele...........Welker caught 120 something passes in 2011. Welker was probably the reason the Pats were Super Bowl participants as opposed to winning 7 games. The ill fated Welker mis-catch could only have been caught by 1 receiver on the planet and that being Cris Carter. Off the finger tips, over the head, and over the wrong shoulder. All of this and Welker being the elite professional still says he should have caught it. Gisele honey,..........De-Nile is the longest river in Egypt and you know nothing about football.

Bill Belichick's squeeze > Tom Brady's wife.  Linda Holliday should be (if she isn't that is) the model.

Still shots are a bitch.  Just ask Misti May and Kerri Walsh.

Giselle is nowhere near my favorite thing to look at, but she's far better looking than this picture gives her credit for.

1.  She's right.
2.  She should shut her mouth about it.
3.  Either that's a bad photo of her, or I don't know why she's a supermodel.
Haha she's getting old, she's 31 or so now. Most women hit the wall in their late 20s, although there are some women that have a timeless beauty to them. But even then, I'm not sure why some women are super models, because I see lots of attractive women everywhere that look just as good or better to me. Candice Swanepoel is the most attractive model to me right now, but it's pure personal preference. When you're married though, usually your wife looks the best to you, so what does it matter.

I think these models are generally for old or gay people to look at, or really young people that haven't been in any relationships at all. That is a lot of people, but it really isn't the majority of people. That's why most people don't actually know most of these models. I don't watch any fashion shows, and I have some friends that are fashion designers (all the men are gay, not saying this as an insult just a fact, all my male fashion designer friends are homosexuals, they're all awesome, awesome people but they're all gay for some reason).
