In general, Tom Brady leads a charmed life. He's an NFL quarterback, three-time Super Bowl champ, UGG spokesman -- and the cherry on top -- he's married to supermodel Gisele Bündchen. Yes, the Patriots fell to the Giants Sunday night in Super Bowl XLVI, and yes Brady was distraught by the outcome, but in the scheme of things, it won't define his career.

Of course, the criticism in the hours after the loss were swift and, well, critical. Brady was accused of a horrible performance even though he started 20 of 24, broke Joe Montana's Super Bowl completion record in the process, then suffered a Justin Tuck sack that changed everything. He finished the night 7 of 17 and a slightly off-target throw to Wes Welker with four minutes to go ultimately proved to be the difference.

Gisele, who was at the game, had to endure jeers and taunts from Giants fans as she left her suite at Lucas Oil Stadium.

“Eli rules!” screamed one fan. “Eli owns your husband!” yelled another.

Gisele's response?

“You (have) to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball,” she snapped back, according to CBS New York. “My husband cannot (bleeping) throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

Welker took full responsibility for not coming down with a Brady throw that was also high and behind him.

"The ball is right there," Welker said when asked if he was looking for it on the other shoulder. "I've just got to make the play. It's a play I've made a thousand times in practice and everything else. It comes to the biggest moment of my life and I don't come up with it. It's discouraging."

Brady, for his part, didn't waver in his support of Welker.

"Wes was running down the field and it looked like they messed the coverage up a little bit and I threw it to him," said Brady. "(Welker) went up to try and make it, as he always does, and we just couldn't connect. He's a hell of a player. I'll keep throwing the ball to him for as long as I possible can. He's a phenomenal player and teammate and I love that guy."

Apparently, a TMZ source says that Brady's teammates are "disappointed" and feel betrayed by Gisele's comments.

To be fair, Welker should have caught the pass. He'a a professional player and paid to do so. The ball didn't just skim his finger tips, it went right through his hands. Inexcusable really. This was NOT Brady's fault on this one catch, however, Brady did make some mistakes throughout this game.

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

Gisele's not a football expert but she saw what everyone else did.  The Giant receivers caught their passes and the Patriots' receivers, when it mattered the most, didn't.  Welker's muff was the biggest one but there were others.  Welker catches that and wer'e all talking about the Patriot dynasty and whether Belichick and Brady are the best ever.  But Welker didn't and now idiots like Mike Freeman and a host of other mediots are foaming off at the mouth talking a lot of nonsense.  Brady did better than most of his teammates yesterday.  Logan Mankins couldn't keep Tuck and other Giants from getting at Brady all game.  Gronkowski was a shell of his usual self (not his fault) and that took Brady's biggest weapon off the table. (A healthy Gronk and the Giants can't stop the Pats offense at all.) Dropped balls, a few badly-timed penalties, and a ball that never seemed to bounce the Patriots way all worked against them.  Despite all this, the Pats made it come down to a play in the endzone at the end that Gronkowski just couldn't move fast enough to get (again, not his fault...he was clearly playing injured).  But Brady was the least cause for concern yesterday.  Even with a mashed up shoulder, he did fine. The biggest "goat" was Welker.

Gesele may be a better football expert than you are:

1. The pass to Welker was high and behind him, if Brady lead him accurately, its a TD;
2. "Logan Mankins couldn't keep Tuck and other Giants from getting at Brady all game" The Giants only sacked Brady 2X??
3. "(A healthy Gronk and the Giants can't stop the Pats offense at all)" Really? the Giants beat the Pats and Gronk in the regular
     season without Nicks and Bradshaw.

The Pats simply got beat by a better team.

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

Brady made some bad decisions (safety, interception). His receivers dropped some passes (Welker, Hernandez). Belechick made some questionable decisions. So did Coughlin. The Giants play calling stunk. Manning made some horrible throws. His receivers made some tough catches. Bradshaw fumbled. Penalties came at inopportune times for both teams. So what!!!Why do we spend so much time looking for a "goat"? Why don't we spend more time celebrating who did well? The Giants won not because a Patriot dropped a pass. They won because they overcame their mistakes and executed when it was necessary.
