In general, Tom Brady leads a charmed life. He's an NFL quarterback, three-time Super Bowl champ, UGG spokesman -- and the cherry on top -- he's married to supermodel Gisele Bündchen. Yes, the Patriots fell to the Giants Sunday night in Super Bowl XLVI, and yes Brady was distraught by the outcome, but in the scheme of things, it won't define his career.

Of course, the criticism in the hours after the loss were swift and, well, critical. Brady was accused of a horrible performance even though he started 20 of 24, broke Joe Montana's Super Bowl completion record in the process, then suffered a Justin Tuck sack that changed everything. He finished the night 7 of 17 and a slightly off-target throw to Wes Welker with four minutes to go ultimately proved to be the difference.

Gisele, who was at the game, had to endure jeers and taunts from Giants fans as she left her suite at Lucas Oil Stadium.

“Eli rules!” screamed one fan. “Eli owns your husband!” yelled another.

Gisele's response?

“You (have) to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball,” she snapped back, according to CBS New York. “My husband cannot (bleeping) throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

Welker took full responsibility for not coming down with a Brady throw that was also high and behind him.

"The ball is right there," Welker said when asked if he was looking for it on the other shoulder. "I've just got to make the play. It's a play I've made a thousand times in practice and everything else. It comes to the biggest moment of my life and I don't come up with it. It's discouraging."

Brady, for his part, didn't waver in his support of Welker.

"Wes was running down the field and it looked like they messed the coverage up a little bit and I threw it to him," said Brady. "(Welker) went up to try and make it, as he always does, and we just couldn't connect. He's a hell of a player. I'll keep throwing the ball to him for as long as I possible can. He's a phenomenal player and teammate and I love that guy."

Apparently, a TMZ source says that Brady's teammates are "disappointed" and feel betrayed by Gisele's comments.

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

Really,  he only had 11 incompletions and most of those were throw aways or batted down at the line.  His recievers only dropped three passes (if you count the one tipped and Branch dropped).  He had all day to throw.  The problem was he didn't go down field.  All he did was throw to his RB and TE (like they did all year).  When the quick routes were covered he held onto the ball and the pass rush got him.

His longest pass got picked off.  They called a safe game and it bit them in the butt.  It was almost as if he did'nt want to take any chances so he just made safe passes.  Eli went deep a few times and threw long passess over the middle.  New England didn't throw anything beyond 10 yards until the last drive.  (and the one to Welker, which wasn't even supposed to go to him, it was broken coverage)

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

Gisele's not a football expert but she saw what everyone else did.  The Giant receivers caught their passes and the Patriots' receivers, when it mattered the most, didn't.  Welker's muff was the biggest one but there were others.  Welker catches that and wer'e all talking about the Patriot dynasty and whether Belichick and Brady are the best ever.  But Welker didn't and now idiots like Mike Freeman and a host of other mediots are foaming off at the mouth talking a lot of nonsense.  Brady did better than most of his teammates yesterday.  Logan Mankins couldn't keep Tuck and other Giants from getting at Brady all game.  Gronkowski was a shell of his usual self (not his fault) and that took Brady's biggest weapon off the table. (A healthy Gronk and the Giants can't stop the Pats offense at all.) Dropped balls, a few badly-timed penalties, and a ball that never seemed to bounce the Patriots way all worked against them.  Despite all this, the Pats made it come down to a play in the endzone at the end that Gronkowski just couldn't move fast enough to get (again, not his fault...he was clearly playing injured).  But Brady was the least cause for concern yesterday.  Even with a mashed up shoulder, he did fine. The biggest "goat" was Welker.

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

Gisele will dump Brady for Mark Sandchize as she believes that the Jets will win the superbowl next year as Tubby Rex Ryan guaranteed it. No way Gisele would can stick with a guy that lost, not one, but two superbowls.

Tubby Ryan just placed a huge order for vomit green fabric to cover the new Giants NFC Championship and Superbowl Championship banners. Gisele should be able to help Tubby get a discount.

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

Geez, I can't believe I have to say this. First.. Gisele is a hottie (She had to deal with a heck of a lot of hecklers, give her a break) Second, Brady got the ball close enough for Welker to catch the ball. I couldn't of caught it nor could most NFL players, and neither did he. Third Brady/Welker/Gisele are all class acts.

Great game and the headlines are owned by middle-finger waving nobodys and girlfriend comments to fans. Weak.

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

watch the replay moron the giant linebacker toiched the pass to branch, the only thing brady did wrong was to throw it too early, branch also could of adjusted his route to slant more based on the coverage , btw brady is now the record holder for consecutive passes completed in sb history passing his idol and arguably the best qb of all time Joe Montana, eli also threw some passes at least 4 or 5 that were millimeters away from being picked or deflected by a bad new england secondary, as far as you saying the pats arent talented enough on offense with brady not up to par is ridiculous, welker is a top 10 wideout, gronk is the best tight end in football, hernandez is in the top ten, branch as the 4th option still had over 700 yds recieving so next time do your homework

QB's no matter how good are not always right on target.  I saw the play, Welker should have caught the ball.  He catches it, game over.  Either way, you can stick blame anywhere you want it, but the team Giants beat the team Patriots.  Everyone on the Pats is at fault.

On that particular play, Wes Welker was wide open. Mr. Superstar should have thrown the ball where
Welker could have caught it in stride. Brady choked, not Welker!

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

If you watched the game, it;s true, the Patriots receivers did drop a few...the most important one was Wes Welker's drop in the fourth quarter, which would have most likely sealed the victory. Instead, the Tom Brady pass fell to the ground and the Giants Mario Manningham made the big catch of a ball from Eli Manning.

Maybe Brady's wife should have pointed to the fumbles the Giants had, but the Patriots could not recover, and the real killer was the one they did recover, there was a 12 men on the field penalty.

What a joke.  Should Welker have caught that ball? Yes. Was it a great throw? No.  How many really great throws did Brady make?  Not many.  He had Branch wide open on the last drive with no one behind him and threw a crap ball low and behind him.  The Pats aren't talented enough on offense to win if Brady plays like an average or slightly above average QB, which is what he played like yesterday.  Hey Gisele, why don't you get your husband to start playing like one of the best QBs of all time, as opposed to 'just another QB.'
