For the second time (that we know of), Jerry Jones isn't interested in Randy Moss. (Getty Images)

Randy Moss, 35 years young on Monday, has had an epiphany. Or maybe it's a mid-life crisis. Whatever, one of the NFL's most explosive receivers wants back in the NFL. Moss played his last game in 2010, when he caught passes for the Patriots, Vikings and Titans before deciding to retire. Now, after a year away from the game, he's ready for a comeback.

The biggest obstacle, of course, is the same one that faces 38-year-old Terrell Owens: are any teams interested in his services? (If not, Moss could probably make some pocket change by hosting his own show. In a short time, he's proven he's clearly capable of pulling it off. Seriously, this is comedy gold.)

Moss admitted that he had regrets in New England and Minnesota, and the Jets and Eagles are reportedly "curious." (As we joked in the latest Pick-6 Podcast, "curious" sounds like something you'd read in a Craigslist ad.) One team that won't be in the running for Moss' services? The same team that said "thanks but not thanks" in the 1998 NFL Draft when they selected Greg Ellis with the No. 8 pick and Moss fell all the way to the Vikings at No. 21: the Cowboys.

A source tells's Calvin Watkins that the team will again pass on Moss 15 years after initially doing so.

"This shouldn't come as a surprise because the Cowboys have some talented and young wide receivers in Miles Austin and Dez Bryant," Watkins wrote Tuesday night. "The team also wants to re-sign Laurent Robinson, who led the team with 11 touchdown receptions in 2011."

So where does that leave Moss? Glad you asked because we talk about it below:

Philadelphia. Write it down. What have the Eagles got to lose? They are already the league's most "flamboyant" team. The locker room there can't be any worse. The Eagles are the epitome of style over substance. They are the poster children for talking the talk, and not walking the walk. Every intellectually challenged WR with an urban attitude wants to play in Philly (see Plaxico Burress). Moss would fit in nicely. It's hard to imagine any other team in the NFL where Moss could play other than Philly. This was the same story when Vick came out of prison. Philly was the only place Vick could go and be accepted. Once again, where is the risk? The Eagles are already the NFL's version of Kanye West and Floyd Mayweather, with a dash of Farrakhan for flavor. Adding Moss can't make it any worse than it already is. The down side is that with Vick, Young, Jackson and Moss on the same team, locker room interviewers may require an interpreter.

Report:  I didn't rob a bank today.

Report:  The Celtics are still in Boston.

Report:  Jeremy Lin proving he belongs.

This is idiotic!  Maybe report on a team that is stupid enough to BE interested in Moss.

Who in their right mind would be interested in this Freak Show?  Another T.O. waste of time in the making.  AJ Green proved last year that teams need to go with the younger guys.  Moss thinks (actually thought) he was better than he really was and it is likely his attitude has not changed a bit.  I would not think he would be smart enough to just keep a low profile and come to training camp and try and make an NFL Roster.  Rather than feel like he has something to prove he will jump on the scene, if given the chance, and CRY for the ball.  I pity the fools that would ever guarantee this guy any kind of money.  I'd say come out and put out the hard work or shut up period.

The receivers and tight end are pretty good, they don't need him.

When he's motivated he plays well......just can't seem to keep him motivated enough for long enough.  For as pissy as he is with Cris Carter calling him out for having too much "quit" in him, it is more than a valid point......he should have just shut up and not tweeted back at Carter.  He just comes off as pissy, which will less endear him to teams than he already was...........

IF he is in shape, then a team will take a shot. If he comes in determined I could see him have a plax like  year. Mostly effective in the red zone. He won't be a Pat, not with A. Hernandez, and Gronk. I don't think anyone can perdict where he could end up. He'll end up somewhere crazy like Cleveland or Jacksonville. the 9ers wouldn't be too bad, again IF he comes in in shape and commited he has a couple years left. I still say T.O. has a better chance. say what you want but T.O. is still in better shape than most athelets 10 years younger in any sport. Too bad his rep might screw him.
