INDIANAPOLIS -- If you read the headlines relating to Broncos quarterbacks over the past few days, you'd think that Brady Quinn and Tim Tebow are mortal enemies. Quinn was quoted in a GQ article as saying that some of the things Tebow does in public; he later backtracked on the comments via Twitter, claiming they were taken out of context. (Michael Silver, the author of the article, points out that both he and Quinn have a copy of the audio file.)

Broncos coach John Fox was asked about Quinn's comments Thursday at the NFL combine in Indy.

"Knowing their relationship, knowing both Brady and Tim myself, sometimes things get lost in translation," "I know their relationship is very close. They have a lot of respect for each other. They're very good teammates to each other. That's kind of what I know -- it's hard for me to stay up on all the comments, but I kind of know what I know."

Fox also said that Quinn's comments wouldn't impact whether or not the Broncos were interested in bringing back Quinn, a free agent on March 13, in 2012.

"Oh no, I know their relationship, I know he was a great teammate to Tim," Fox said. "I know Tim knows that. We still like Brady Quinn."

Fox said he was glad Quinn apologized and pointed out that "sometimes that happens." (That, we took him to mean is "saying something you immediately regret while a camera or tape recorder is running.")

We think it's still a long shot that Quinn returns to Denver. He's seen the sideshow that comes with Tebow and he knows what happens to anyone who gets playing time ahead of Tebow. There's a decent opportunity for playing time in Denver -- Tebow could get injured or struggle -- but it comes with the hefty cost, as Quinn's already learned this offseason.

I think I speak for everyone in the sports world - stop with the Tebow crap.  Everyone is sick of hearing about everything that happens.  There are many players in the NFL - NOT just Tebow to report on

Quinn believes he has what it takes to be a starter in the NFL. He doesn't. Tebow is a starter in the NFL but probably shouldn't be. Therein lies the rub.

We all know what's next for Quinn. Orton was in Tebow's way and got whacked.  Brandon Lloyd said some stuff Tebow didn't like and got whacked. McGenius refused to play Tebow and got whacked.  Quinn better watch his back.

Brady Quinn is bitter.  Cleveland didn't want him and he got shipped to Denver after not perfoming well.  With Orton playing badly he hopes that his second chance has come but Denver fans want to see their first round draft pick of a year ago, surprise, surprise.  This guy can't keep his head down and keep working like Alex Smith, instead he trashes Tebow who had nothing to do with the fans response.  Quinn is on a downward spiral when the attitude is to blame others instead of performing better himself.

Quinn wants to play so don't look for him in Green Bay. Try K.C. Seattle maybe even the Vikings. Where ever he ends up it will be has a projected backup, but hell look for some where that gives him the best chance to get on the field. Most of his quotes seem to be true about gettin lucky and fans wanting Tebow more than him. The only one that seemed spiteful was the Tebow looking for a camera to pray in front of. REALLY?? When did Tebow ever need to find a camera the networks probally had two trained on him from start to finish of every game. Heck he blew off an interview at the end of the Steelers game to go get in a prayer circle with his teamates so that is an untrue protrayal of Tebow and most know it. The guy who wrote the article Silver is a bit of a fink anyway.

Brady Quinn is married to AJ Hawks sister so it would be a nice family reunion.  Quinn is a good backup and backing up Rodgers would be great for him.  I am pretty sure John Fox will say anything to make sure that people don't think there is a riff between Quinn and Tebow.  Tim Tebow most likely holds no grudges towards Quinn cause that's just the type of guy he is.  Quinn most likely was speaking with some emtions about not getting the oppurtunity to play so who blams him.  When all said and done this story will be over before I finish typeing.

I wouldn't mind seeing Brady Quinn come to Green Bay, now that Matt Flynn is all but gone. He would be a good back up to Rogers and get a chance to learn from the best Qb coaches in Mike Mcarthy and Tom Clements. Also, I think his sister is married to AJ Hawk. Family reunion time. lol
