Jones-Drew will be 'better than ever'

Posted on: March 30, 2011 4:40 pm
If you're worried about Maurice Jones-Drew not being effective or holding up for the 2011 season because of offseason knee surgery and a perceived "bone-on-bone" condition, get over it.

A source close to the Jaguars' star running back told on Wednesday that Jones-Drew is ahead of schedule on his rehab from surgery for a torn meniscus and is already running and cutting in what was referred to as "grueling" rehab.

It's worth noting that Jones-Drew began feeling pain in his right knee during the preseason and played through it for 14 of 16 games, including a six-week span late in the year where he had consecutive 100-yard rushing efforts. Rehab is still expected to last through May, but according to the source, Jones-Drew will be "better than ever" when it's time for training camp.

For a player who has been as consistently productive as Jones-Drew has been over his career, that's a lot off our minds.

Jones-Drew will be 'better than ever'

I've had him two out of the last three years.  You can usually get him later in the draft then some of the bigger or more popular backs and he puts up close to the same if not better numbers.  Never pass on MJD!

MJD is a willfull player. He wills to overcome his size, and has become a successfull RB in the NFL.
You can count on him doing very well in 2011.

Jones-Drew will be 'better than ever'

better than ever?  now that hes stuck his foot in his mouth more than once, including p!ssing off his own fanbase he has a big fat target on his big fat rear end.  the idiot coach is still there and the terrible qb is still running the same dump pass offense. MJD will be overused like he has every year. not one person in jax pretended they didnt know he hurt his knee in preseason.  the team is so pitiful in this little hiding that when they said he was resting in the preseason he was already outed. everybody knows jack del rio plays his starters for at least 3 quarters of every preseason game. and MJD is no exception. when the idiot media here tried to pretend he "was just resting" everybody knew he was playing hurt that the stupidity of playing him hurt would shoot themselves in the foot sometime during the season. MJD is overused and will continue to be overused.  and when he gets hurt again he can tweet his little fingers off with more idiot comments about ripping his own fans and the other players in the nfl.    dont think for a second players from other teams arent going to try and cheap shot this full of himself pig.
