My thoughts on the KU KSU game

Posted on: October 28, 2008 12:33 pm

I'm sitting here just thinking about how it used to be.  When K-State fans would get up every Saturday and say it's good to be a Wildcat, lets watch another win.  Now I'm reduced to saying things like we  could win this game if..... Usually followed by we can catch the ball, stop the running game, make a tackle, stop turning the ball over blah blah blah.

And here I am again writing about we can win the game against KU if (insert all of the above)  and add stop the pass.  I think we can make this a track meet and still beat KU but I would preferre to beat them on defense and not make it come down to a 1 or 2 possesion game.  We have been showing some better defense than the first 6 games, although it is still bad we have shown improvement.  KU on the other hand has not shown improvment with there steller performance against Tech, who I believe KU fans were talking trash to us about how bad Tech beat the cats.  How does the humble pie taste hawks?

O.k. there is my little anti-Jayhawk blast.  We should be competitive in this game and have a good shot at winning it.

My prediction

KSU - 35

KU - 30

My thoughts on the KU KSU game

Markstaff,

who has KU beaten that makes you think they are pretty good?  Yes you have beaten everyone you were supposed to beat but have not been able to win a game against a ranked supperior team.  I'm also not saying that K-State has and yes on paper KU should win this game but I do believe KSU was not supposed to beat Texas the last 2 years either.

I never said K-State was better than KU but I do think they have a chance at winning this game.  Freeman will pick you guys appart if you can't get a pass rush.  Like I said before we can make this a track meet and KSU can keep up.  But I'm hoping for a little bit of defense to show up this week. IN BOTH HALFS O.K. Wildcats?

My opinion good teams win games they are not supposed to win.  KU was a pretty good team last year this year they are pretty average.  KSU on the other have has been below average for about 4 years now.  But in this game you cannot look at the season this is a huge game for both teams in regards to the Big 12 standings.  KU loses they go below 500 in conference if K-State loses they would have to win out to get to 500 in the conference.  Not saying that is would happen but this is all hypothetical and in my own little fantasy land.  If KSU wins out the rest of the season they would have a share or out right win the Big 12 north.  Now I know this is not a very possible idea because we do play MU and the NU (who we can beat if the stars align), and we will need to beat ISU which we did not do last year.

My thoughts on the KU KSU game

No. K-State will lose to KU. KU is better than K-State. And I realize this is is a homey blog and I waste this post. I went to neither school. Kansas State isn't very good and KU is pretty good. That's the reality. Josh Freeman may be good in the NFL one day and Todd Reesing won't be. But in the college game KU and Todd is better. At KU. Sorry Cat fans. Thank you for your thoughts.
