/07/31/vote-now-best-qb-bracket-sta
ubach-tarkenton/

Today's First Second Round Matchup is Fran Tarketon and Roger Staubach...... Results below.....

Here are the QBs participating...

Joe Montana
John Elway
Johnny Unitas
Roger Staubach
Otto Graham
Steve Young
Fran Tarkenton
Dan Marino
Terry Bradshaw
Bart Starr
Troy Aikman
Sammy Baugh
Joe Namath
Jim Kelly
Bob Griese

Dan Fouts

FIRST ROUND RESULTS

Slash threw means eliminated.....Dan Fouts was eliminated by Joe Montana in the first matchup...

Dan Marino Blew Troy Aikman outta the water as expected 89% to 11%..

Roger Staubach destroyed Joe Namath 81%-19%

Once again the 12 seed defeats the 5 seed.....just not in the NCAA tourney......Fran Tarkenton moves on.

Jim Kelly hangs close to Johnny Unitas but falls short as Unitas beats out and escapes Kelly.

Steve Young just edges by the master Starr by 8% of the vote....I guess not too many people on these boards were alive back then?

Otto Graham beats out Sammy Baugh in the battle of the oldies....(or old All time greats.......)

John Elway ate Bob Greise up and spit him out for dinner....as expected.........

Dan Marino beats out Joe Montana..............look on site for more details....

***note we did NOT let quarterbacks in like Peyton Manning, Tom Brady or Brett Favre due to lack of retirement or player is not completly decided.....

Johnny Unitas was the greatest to me....Your right too a lot of these people are way too young because Steve Young over Johnny Unitas is a real joke if they had really been around or family who saw Johnny play they would have voted different.....But Steve, Roger, Terry & Fran had great squads to make them look better than they really were......

7 Greatest QB's of All time

#1 Joe Montana

#2 Peyton Manning

#3 John Elway

#4 Johnny Unitas

#5 Brett Favre

#6 Roger Staubach

#7 Terry Bradshaw

Easiest list to make. Fouts, Marino, and Kelly have the numbers, but they are all missing the title. Smartest QB ever is Peyton Manning. Most athletic and gifted QB ever is John Elway. Joe Montana is a combination of both of them. Easy guy to put at the top.

My pick is Fran, i remember a game when the Lions Played at Tiger Stadium Roger Brown hit Fran at the 5 yard line so hard he was spiting  teeth out as he called the next play.  As good as Dan Was I Can't believe  that He beat out Joe.

Fran all the way.  first scambler, and led weak teams to 3 SB appearances.  a real winner, without HOF teammates
