Greetings to all my friends here on CBSSports,

I'm proud to announce that within the next few weeks I will be releasing an album of original electronic music I wrote. It will be available online for download. When I release the album, I will write another blog entry with the link and directions for downloading.

*Sample from the album here*: http://riversoflight.bandcamp.com/

Thanks for reading and supporting my musical endeavors! If you have any questions or comments, reply here or shoot me a PM on the Infinity thread. Have a great week!

MM

PS - If you remember my "Lifeline" group, that music is still available for free listening and downloading at lifeline.bandcamp.com. You can also hear all of the tracks on Youtube by visiting http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6AACCFE29A89BF2F. More Lifeline works are in progress as well.

MM's Upcoming Album

Nice! There's not really much news from me except for what I already shared on WAYLT this morning. I do understand what you are saying about the disconnect. I have had that same problem essentially - in one of the groups I was in/still am kind of in one friend likes rock, pop, and some rap while another friend can't stand anything with words but jumps at big band jazz or the soundtrack from Star Wars. Meanwhile, I lie somewhere in the middle - lots of classic rock, more modern stuff, jazz, and lately I've fallen in love with electronic groups such as The American Dollar (you can listen to their stuff for free at  if you're like most people and have never heard of them), which is probably the main inspiration for my album. I do hope your band improves, and I agree that it will be easier when the heat dies down. Keep me updated! I'm always interested to hear about the musical progress of others.

MM's Upcoming Album

Good for you MUFFIN!!!!!    PM me sometime and let me know what's going on with your musical career. I have been playing with a couple of youngsters myself. A pair of half-brothers, one 25 who is a drummer and lives across the street from me and his 20 year old half brother who is a very good lead guitarist. The two biggest problems are it's too hot to practice in their garage right now and we have a musical disconnect in that they know songs by bands like INCUBUS and I know songs by almost everybody who recorded music in the 70s, but the only band's songs we all know are ZEPPELLIN's. So the 5-6 times we have tried to play have mostly been blues type jam sessions or one guitarist or the other playing a song they know. The drummer has a pretty easy time figuring out a rhythm to join in with but the other guitarist and I need time together to learn some common songs because we both have trouble watching the other one play and keeping up. I'm sure you understand what I'm talking about and I think we will improve greatly once the heat breaks and we resume practicing some. In the meantime I will be checking your music out.
