the current season

well, it looks like most of the Cardinals are walking on a walker or a cane these days.  Adam Wainwright went down last week and it sounds like he'll be gone a long time.  Albert Pujols went down with a calf injury, but the way he's talking, he could be back by the all star break.  possibly earlier.  today, Yadier Molina had to be taken off the field in a stretcher.  i feel bad because he's having a pretty good year to his standards.  how will the cardinals cope with these injuries?  it also sounds like Mark Mulder may not ever pitch again and Chris Carpenter may be shelved for the season.  i think for the cardinals to be successful this season, they need to get a very good starting pitcher.  they would have to give up a lot, but i think C.C. Sabathia would be a good fit for the redbirds.  i'm open for discussion on what the cardinals should do for the rest of the season.  i think they are contenders, but they do need a player or two to keep up with the upstart Cubs in the central division.  tell me what you guys think.
