Five weeks of NFL football is in the books, folks, and do we know anything? Maybe not -- we do know some things, like the fact that the Bills and Panthers stink.

But there are plenty of questions to be answered, so Andy and I hopped on the old podcast machine to find some answers.

First of all, is it time for the Packers and Cowboys to hit the panic button? Who's the favorite to win the NFC East with the Cowboys struggling, Kevin Kolb looking decent and the Redskins just finding ways to win? Should the Chiefs be willing to take a moral victory from their loss to the Colts? Are Peyton Manning, Kyle Orton and Philip Rivers producing numbers that are sustainable over the course of the year?

The jury is still out on science, but the verdict on math is F-U-N, so we present the week in NFL from a numbers perspective.

0 - Undefeated teams remaining in the NFL. If an expanded schedule is coming, this might have been the last decent shot at running the table, and no one even wanted to give an effort at making Mercury Morris cry.

2 - Blocked punts by the Raiders in the first quarter as the Chargers, resulting in a touchdown and safety against the continually awful special teams unit of San Diego.  

4 - Straight games in which the Bills have allowed 30-plus points, which is the first time that has happened in their franchise's history. That is not good news.

5 - Field goals by Josh Scobee, tying a Jaguars franchise record.

7 - Losses that the NFC West has taken while traveling.  

13  - Number of times the Raiders had lost to the Chargers in a row until Sunday, when they snapped the longest losing streak to another team with a shocking 35-27 upset.

29 - Yard missed field goal by John Carney, which should do wonders for the "kicker controversy" chatter.

44 - Games since the Detroit Lions last won by more than 30 points -- they beat Denver 44-7 on November 4, 2007 and then St. Louis 44-6 on Sunday.  

90 - Number of seconds  in which Carson Palmer managed to throw quarter interceptions while doing his "best Jake Delhomme impression" and helping the Bengals hand the Buccaneers a win.  

140 - Characters in which Darrelle Revis announced that he'll be playing on Monday before the team could tell anyone. Well, technically it was 110, but either way: OchoCinco News Network strikes again!

147 - Total passing yardage that FOUR quarterbacks (Jimmy Clausen, Matt Moore, Caleb Hanie and Todd Collins) combined for in the miserable-to-watch Bears-Panthers tilt. They also managed to throw SEVEN interceptions.

290 - Total passing yardage from Philip Rivers against the Raiders … in the first half.

314 - Yardage for Kyle Orton, which keeps him on pace to break Dan Marino's record. It's worth noting that he picked up about 65 or so of those in junk time though, and that the only number that really matters here is the "1" win the Ravens picked up.

1970 - The last season no one in the NFL made it to 4-0. Parity reigns supreme.

Darrelle Revis will get to play Randy Moss for the second time this year after all -- the receiver announced on Sunday (via Twitter, of course) that he'll be active for the Jets game against the Vkings on Monday night.

Whats up everyone, #ocnn news here, im playing against our former teammate #farve tomar, going to be a battle!

 This is excellent news because Revis gets a chance to redeem himself after getting torched by Moss on one of the season's sicker catches -- and he gets a chance to back up the smack talk he and Antonio Cromartie have been directing Moss' way since he got dealt to the Vikings.

Oh, and also because he doesn't know how to spell Brett Favre's name apparently.

Brandon Marshall, on bye this week, made a little cameo on America's favorite presume show, "NFL Today" -- if you missed it, we've got video below, and either way you should watch, because he was pretty awesome.

Even better, he was very forthright about tons of topics -- he discussed Bill Parcells' possible retirement and the leadership change in Miami ("we all know who our leader is"), why he left Denver (saying Josh McDaniels' "philosophy was totally different" and that "He wanted to do some things that I guess I didn't fit in to") and stated that if Mike Shanahan was still in Denver, he and Jay Cutler would "absolutely" still be there.

He also talked about possibly playing for the Miami Heat, although you could tell that he was doing so mostly in jest. Which, you'll recall, is not how he discussed the possibility of him playing basketball before, even using the phrase "I'm serious."

Marshall touched on the Darrelle Revis/Antonio Cromartie trashing Randy Moss stuff, and said, to much laughter, that since Revis is busy training and nursing a sore hammy, he should probably shut his mouth and "let the legend live." Maybe most interesting, though, was his theory on why wide receivers are so, ahem, needing of attention and end up getting traded after wearing out their welcomes -- he believes that since they're "the only guys that can really ask for the ball," that changes how they're required to generate attention. It makes some sense, but what's so impressive about it all is that Marshall looks like a guy who could end up in a booth or on the television after he's done playing.

Provided he's not running an NBA team or something.

The Randy Moss trade is done.

First reported about 8:50 a.m. by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Randy Moss trade from New England to Minnesota is official. The Patriots compensation will be the Vikings third-round pick in the 2011 Draft, and Moss will head to Minnesota without a new contract in place.

UPDATE (9:18 a.m.): This has been a weird year for Randy Moss – and for the reporters who have to follow the Randy Moss saga.

After making five catches for 59 yards in Week 1 against Cincinnati, Moss walked into his postgame news conference and let loose – a rarity for Moss when he’s dealing with reporters. He said he wanted a new contract, and considering he’s in the final year of his deal, he was disappointed he hadn’t received one yet. He said he was making an issue of it at that point, because he wanted to get it off his chest.

He said he wanted to retire a Patriot, but he also predicted that 2010 would be his last season in New England. After a nice win, Moss’ presser seemed a touch inappropriate.

No matter.

After the NFL world was reminded before New England’s game vs. the Jets in Week 2 that New York CB Darrelle Revis had called Moss a slouch, Moss only had two catches for 38 yards. Of course, one of those receptions was a brilliant one-handed grab that beat Revis for a TD (it’s worth noting that we haven’t seen Revis in a game since).

The weirdness came to a climax Monday when Moss didn’t record a single catch in New England’s Monday Night blowout of the Dolphins – he was targeted just once. After the game, he said his zero-catch night was part of the gameplan. That also seemed odd.

Two days later, Moss is headed back to the team which drafted him 1998 to play with Brett Favre, Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin.

Oh, and there’s this: the strangeness will continue Monday night when Moss faces the Jets for the second time in three weeks and will continue on Halloween when Moss and the Vikings travel to … yep, you guessed it … New England.

First, the notable actives:

Baltimore RB Ray Rice will play today. As will Raiders WR Louis Murphy (that’s very good new for Oakland). Rookie NT Terrence Cody and DL Paul Kruger will make their 2010 debuts for the Ravens. Also, Denver's Tim Tebow is the No. 2 QB today, while Brady Quinn is No. 3. Jets RB Joe McKnight, who's been a big disappointment so far, is active for the first time. Bills CB Marcus Trufant is active as well. And in some great news for Seattle, LT Russell Okung will make his career debut. 

And now the inactives:

Darrelle Revis, CB, Jets: He’s getting closer to returning, but against the Bills – where the only real receiving threat is Lee Evans – it’s probably unnecessary to play a Revis that’s still not 100 percent. Antonio Cromartie, who’s had mixed results as the No. 1 shutdown corner, should be OK vs. Evans.

Jonathan Fanene, DE, Bengals: This isn’t as big of a loss, considering Antwan Odom will play. Fanene has been bothered by a hamstring injury.

Cory Redding, DL, Ravens: He suffered a concussion last week, and he didn't pass his baseline tests this week. Therefore, he's inactive. It's unfortunate for Baltimore, considering the Ravens will try to slow down Pittsburgh RB Rashard Mendenhall, the fourth-leading rusher in the league.

Jake Delhomme, QB, Browns: Seneca Wallace will take over the QB spot for Cleveland for the second straight week as Delhomme tries to recover from an ankle injury. Delhomme was listed as questionable, but he was seen limping around the locker room this week. So this isn't a big surprise.

Knowshon Moreno, RB, Broncos: We know this would happen, and therefore, it falls to newly-acquired Laurence Maroney to move the ball. Last week, he struggled, gaining just 24 yards on 12 carries. QB Kyle Orton can't be expected to throw for 400-plus yards every week.

Andre' Goodman, CB, Broncos: Bothered by a quadriceps injury, Goodman is inactive for the second-straight week. His replacement last week, Perrish Cox, gave up the TD pass to unknown Colts rookie Blair White.

Josh Wilson, CB, Ravens: Cary Williams, who missed the first two games of the season with a suspension, takes the place of Wilson. Special teams might have played a factor in this decision.

Darrelle Revis has been somewhat of a disappointment in 2010, having spent the entire offseason holding out and most of the regular season injured after securing a new contract. That trend will continue on Sunday, as Revis told reporters today that he'll miss the Jets' matchup against the Bills.

"I'm not going to play this week," Revis said, according to Rich Cimini on Twitter , mentioning that the hamstring is "worse than he originally thought."

"I'm taking my time, it's day to day, and hopefully I can be back as soon as possible," Revis also said, according to Jenny Vrentas .

Revis also said that the hamstring is "worse than he originally thought" and that he resumed running today at half speed.

The good news for the Jets is that they don't really need Revis against a Bills team that's just not good. Kyle Wilson has been torched repeatedly, but he's (most likely) getting moved to nickleback, with Drew Coleman stepping in opposite of Antonio Cromartie.

Because stopping the Bills passing game only requires shutting down Lee Evans, it shouldn't be a tremendous issue to lose Revis for the week. In fact, allowing him to rest and still moving to 3-0 against the division (and 3-1 overall) is the best possible scenario for Ryan's crew.
