Even with Albert Haynesworth suspended the rest of the year, the Redskins just can’t stay away from personnel drama.
FOX’s Jay Glazer is reporting that the Washington coaching staff has prepared backup QB Rex Grossman to replace Donovan McNabb if McNabb struggles today vs. the Buccaneers.
The two apparently split snaps at practice this week, meaning Grossman likely would be more prepared than he was when coach Mike Shanahan threw him in to run the fourth-quarter two-minute offense vs. the Lions on Oct. 31.
As we all remember, that didn’t end so well.
