Morning everyone. Forecast here in KC calling for 1 to 3+ inches of snow on New Years Eve. So, that will be a good time to stay in with lots of people not used to drinking on the road in bad weather.
Looking forward to some games today. Still, knida of a lost season here in KC. And how in the heck did the Chiefs get 5 players in the Pro Bowl. Sorry, the NFL "all-star" game is the worst. Super Bowl teams players don't participate now. It is worthless for a game. Baseball still has the best all-star one going. MLS has a cool one when they play a foreign team like an EPL team. Hockey and basketball are good, but little or no defense is played usually.
YAHOO Buckaroo......2-1 Canada.......GREAT Hockey Game and Sabban stood on his head.......the Amercians really came on late in the 3rd and almost tied the game...........nice to watch some good Hockey.
Looks like Larry secured the top spot in his pickem league...congrats! I'm sure he will post final standings tomorrow, and I will for my pickem as well. Thanks to everyone who joined us for the 2012 NFL season. Too bad there is no longer a free NFL playoff challenge...oh well.
I'm rooting for the Packers...and for hockey to come back. A short season will be awful in a lot of ways, but still better than no season at all.

Bucs finish the season with a win, 1 game ahead of my 6-10 prediction (and 4 games ahead of the "experts" on this site). Our secondary needs major help, though. Atlanta looks like a one and done team to me, again.
While I think that Denver and the 49ers are probably the two best teams in the playoffs, I would not want to play either of the number 5 seeds right now. All wild card Super Bowl? Could happen.
Black Monday is here. I don't feel too sorry for the head coaches though. Most deserve their termination and have contracts so they will continue being paid. I do feel sorry for the position coaches that will have to find new work as the new coach will most likely want "his own people" in there.
So I think we're at the point where a CBA gets done. Both parties must know a lost season will be a disaster and that that the cut off for the season to be is fast approaching. Now the posturing should be done, and a CBA hammered out before Jan 10. If the union does decertify tomorrow, then please disregard my prior statement.
