I hate the "U" specifically Jacori Harris, loved it when Wisonsin stomped them in a bowl game in 2009, Lance Kendricks went off.

Channel surifng and utter garbadge came out of Turd McSharts mouth, I could not hit previous channel fast enough on my RC.

Also trying to scout Alshon Jeffries, but the SC quarterback sucked so bad all they did was let Marcus Lattimore run over Navy. Not sure if I have to go to church tomorrow, I had to watch it on the Dush. Between the ah0le announcers and the Chris Sperman ads for Applebee's it was enough to make me want to vomit, the MUTE button worked pretty good.

Saw some of the Badgers game, Al Toon's son Nick looks really fluid and has solid hands. Just watched Broyles torch the Fla. State secondary but the I really liked the catch in the endzone by Kenny Stills. Classic move to salute his fallen teamate Austin Box after the score.

I started getting excited about the MLB for Syracuse, but he has the body of a SS and I watched him get washed out of plays by the USC guards. Kid hits hard though, only a Sophomore, Marquis Spruill.  I though Matt Kalil looked good but not great, run Blocking was avg. to me, but I only watched about a quarter of this game as USC pulled away.  What really frustrated me about this game was Gus Johnson screaming almost every play, boy does FOX suck.  Marcus Allen in the studio must have been pacing back and forth because USC's ground game was getting stuffed. Some games to watch this week-end.

North Carolina vs. Georgia Tech.  Keep your eye on Dwight Jones WR for NC, and the 3 DE's Quinton Couples and Donte Paige-Moss. They have a highly rated OLB in Zach Brown but he is on the light side, but very quick. Georgia Tech is not really loaded with NFL talent this year.

Local TV for me, Connecticut at Buffalo. I really think Kendal Reyes could make a solid DE in the NFL, is more athletic than you think and he has the prototypical size at 6-4 295.  Unless he is drafted by a 4-3 team and they make him a DT.  Not much other NFL talent for the Huskies other than maybe Moe Petrus. He is more of a quick guy and would fit a team like the Colts perfectly to replace Jeff Saturday. The Colts got old overnight.........  Buffalo has a WR to watch, Marcus Rivers, he will probably go undrafted, but he has size.

I'm just wondering if we should look at Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill. I mean, if we're gonna use anymore WR reverse passes, he'd be a pretty good candidate for that play.

Demo,

I mentioned Tannehill a few pages ago, I like the thinking there.

What do you think about Coby Fleener, I know DeCastro is the guy you hope we draft, and Luck is out of range (I HOPE), but DJ Johnson we could use and upgrade at the #2 TE.  And two games into the season, has  Saunders has he even been looked at? Arians at his finest.

Truth,

I have learned a lot of ways to fly under the CBS radar. You can use Dix and they won't flag you.  Even as a Red Sox fan, it is ad nauseum for those butth0les. Cannot wait for the funeral....... the day Tammy Brady announces his retirement. Maybe we'll get lucky and Berman will choke on that Applebees 7 ounce sirloin and get the stick stuck in his throat.

Who are the top QB's that will be available in the next draft?

Andrew Luck is the guy that everybody expects to go #1.  I have read the names Matt Barkley out of USC and Landry Jones form OU.  I'm wondering where you draft gurus see Kellen Moore from Boise State?  Granted I'm a fan of Moore but I see veiw him as a potential Drew Brees type QB in the NFL.  What round do you guys see Moore going in?

Moore I don't know, I would guess round 5 for the right tram. Dixon could won a Heisman and he wen,t in five. I see him as more of a Colt McCoy than a Drew Brees. He could go in the third if Boise excels this year. I am not great at QB,s just guessing I trust Burghball's,s eyes more than my own for Quarterbacks. I was way off on Jevon Snead for example.

I've not been paying much attention to the TEs since Saunders got signed, and since he made the roster my expectations for another TE have all but dissolved. I can't wait to see what Saunders has in his arsenal - I completely agree I wanna see more of him on the field.

That said, I like everything about Coby Fleener. He's certainly big enough, blocks pretty well, good receiver, plays in a pro-style offense. Pretty safe pick as far as I'm concerned.

I haven't watched tight ends specifically, so no input on that side. I have been watching secondaries, its one of the two obvious needs. Sorry for questions made for captian obvious, but where is Bama's Dre Kirkpatrick on most talent boards? He's a jr that looks like Ike Taylor with hands. Also like the Claiborne kid from LSU, but I'm sure he's another out of reach talent based on where we hope we'll be drafting.

A draft pick I would personally like is a speed back. Love redzone Redman (why doesn't he touch the ball more???), but having a burner would be great. Moore can't really stick around another season, can he? So there will be a spot (not too impressed with Dwyer). I've been a fan of the Ellington kid from Clemson since last year, even more than Harper. Wonder where he is on most boards? My biggest question with him is if he could physically handle the big league. Also gotta shout out to Pitt's Ray Graham, though he's not quite a burner, definately a change of pace guy with great hands out of the backfield.

I have been watching Alabama as much as I can because they have NFL written all over them.
Trent Richardson (3) may be a top 10 draft pick next year.Dre Kirkpatrick (21) we talked a little bit about last week. He is going to be a good CB in the NFL but if someone makes him a FS he will be great.
Mark Barron (4) another good S probably a late 2nd early 4th round.
The Tide also has a pretty good TE in Chris Underwood (86) has good hands and is a good blocker. The OL has some good players also they make a lot holes Trent and provide good pass protection I cant single anyone out it's a bit hard but they all look pretty good. Hightower (30) not as good as he was before the injury but still good and may get better as the season oes on.
Marquis Maze(4)  heck of return guy and probably Alabama's best WR.AJ McCarron(10) is in his 2nd year and is getting better every game We will keep an eye on him over the next year or 2.

With a back like that, hard not to. Lattimore is Steven Jackson minus the "is he playing today?" status. Still a sophmore, but nothing better than a runner who gets hits by 2/3 defenders and falls 2/3 yards forward.

As for Jeffries, not much to scout. He is a game changer. Top 5 pick without any major red flags (injury, character, mother who cost less than a ticket to her sons high school football games, etc.), in this league you pick low because your offense can't throw. I'll lookup the stats, but just look at the drafts, top 5 picks are for the majority pass protection, pass throwing, or standout recieving abilities. Size, strength, technique (size wise), and hands. Ohh, and he runs pretty darn quick too. The only thing that we can't know (as proven before) is the mental structure of the guy. NOT AT ALL saying he is a headcase, but I am saying, a report in the police blotter isn't the only way to be a mental midget

BB,

Nice to see you back, if  you catch a Texas A&M game watch Ryan Tennehill give us your thoughts. I am not good with QB's but my gut tells me he is second on my board behind Luck.  The whole world, Including McShart and Diaper will swoon you over Matt Barkley, just something about him says won't hold up to the NFL pounding. He has borderline size, but you get that "inflated" number feeling, the combine weigh in might tell us he is not really 6-2 220.

Kendall Reyes, not sure if Steeler scouts like him, but he is a space eater. What I like about Reyes is the flexability to go from DT to DE, that could translate well for LeBeau.  UConn shut down Buffalo, keep an eye on this Freshman LB, Yawin Smallwood. He needs to bulk up, but he can drop into coverrage, his pick sealed the victory. But UConn like Pitt has QB issues, the kid that ended up throwing the TD's is a walk-on.......

rarebreed,

Back to Kellen Moore, he is really short, Drew Brees he is not, and he is not speedy either, he is rated on several sites for end of the 5th, to early 6th right now. Cannot argue that he is a winner, but I think he is a College QB that may not translate into the pros.

Fitz,

I agree on Hill WR, but then again I thought Sweed would be as stud. Hill is really skinny and I don't think you will see him until 2013, needs to put on weight for the NFL. The UConn kid that Buffalo took is now on IR, Marcus Easley. He flew under the radar and did not even start for the Huskies until he was a Senior, came out of nowhere. Then he hurt his knee last year and now has a heart condition. Like Burghball keeps saying, it's a crapshoot.

Demo,

Have you seen Indiana play this year, watch this kid Damarlo Belcher. He has two things you cannot coach, height and speed. I know you like Sanu and Criner, but I think Pittsburgh is set at WR where they may not use an early pick on a skill position. I am hoping they go OL in round one if the right player is there. In round two, even though we just drafted 2 CB's, I am warming up to the kid out of Vandy, Casey Heyward. Then again I over-rated Davon House..... Well I had company.

In General, even though Richardson will be a top pick, for the Steelers I think the ultimate weapon would still be Marcus Lattimore, we already have a back like Richardson in Mendenhall. As far as speed backs go, if LaMichael James lasted until later on in round two, I would not be upset if Colbert took him, he makes plays and I think he would be on that "special Player" list he talks about.  Burghball would love Lattimore, 4 yards, two dead bodies, and lots of dust. Maybe for 2013, but for 2012 DeCastro sounds about right. It would be Bettis running behind Faneca all over again. One can only dream.

if LaMichael James lasted until later on in round two,

sorry meant round 3, and I may even want to say he will fall like Deion Lewis did. I have redone my mock so many times I am dizzy. I think NFL GM's will drop James because of his size, and in round two you want guys who play more than situational.

In round two, even though we just drafted 2 CB's, I am warming up to the kid out of Vandy, Casey Heyward. Then again I over-rated Davon House..... Well I had company.

Jeebus, I did it again, I did some more reading and Heyward will not go as early as I thought If he lasts I like his run support. How about Coby Fleener in round two? One of these hybrid TE/WR that keep beating us, why not join the party.  Take two Stanford kids early, at least we know they will be smart enough to handle the mental aspects.

1. David DeCastro
2. Coby Fleener
3. Juron Criner
4. Kendall Reyes
5. Casey Heyward
6. Eddie Whitley
7. Jeff Demps
