Frustrating but still worth stashing him on the bench. One good start when he comes back and I would definitely trade him to an owner who will overpay for the name
waste of space he not going to make it this year. done with holding on to hope for him. even if he does come back would you really trust that this won't happen when you start him i sure don't not anymore
Just missing a rehab start, which pushes him back to a May timetable. Truthfully, I think the Sox are stupid for sending him out there this soon but whatever. Jake is a great pitcher and a bulldog and he'll make it back... maybe not any time until after the all star break.
He did not get shelled because he's hurt. He's hurt becase he got shelled by a bunch of minor leaguers. Jake had dominant stuff in Diego...triple crown stuff not just CY Young stuff. His heart may still be in it, but his arm is shot. He'll never be close to the same. Comebacks from TJ surgeries are one thing, but shoulders and lats are another.
Peavy is coming off a major injury, and has the heart and skill set to return and dominate. In a H2H format he is the perfect stash, give him time and see what happens, it's a better gamble then a mid level pitcher who are a dime a dozen.
If you have the roster space he is the perfect stash. A healthy Peavy is a stud. He will accumulate innings, have decent strikeouts, and he will have a massive amount of run support to get the wins.
