Colts Blue Sports Bar

February 15, 2011 6:13 pm

With some sadness I am here to tell you that Colts Blue Local Sports Bar is no longer in existance. Yell  When the thread disappeared I contacted the powers that be on CBS Sports. Here is their response.
The programmers have taken a look and their best guess is that the thread was corrupted during the server crash the site experienced yesterday morning. For some reason, the thread was identified as being inactive and was purged along with a number of other truly inactive threads. I'm sorry to report that the thread cannot be restored. I'll offer my apologies and a promise to re-pin a replacement thread should you desire to create on.
I don't know how this thread was classified inactive considering there was a new post on it the day it went missing, (yesterday) not to mention that it was pinned to the top of the page!
Let's make the new bar even better!

Colts Blue Sports Bar

I wondered what happened... I looked for it earlier today and was baffled.

I'm crying foul; server's crashing...really? The fed's explanation of that missle blast off of the California coast was more believable...

anyways, glad the bar is back up and running, I was afraid you closed shop, 13; and that just aint gonna cut it, cause it's the only pub in my neighborhood that I can walk home from without getting mugged.

Go Colts.

Barkeep, how about a round of shots for the grand-reopening!

Hey Diss! You are the first poster in the new building!  Cool Welcome, your drinks are on me.

I'm crying foul; server's crashing...really?

Yep me too but what can you do? I was really pizzed when they emailed me that they decided that there was nothing that they could do. Maybe they need to hire some new programmers.Like Maxwell Smart used to say "I missed it by that much" telling CBS to where shove their site but I like the people who come in here and I enjoy talking with fellow Colts fans, friends so I decided to try it again. I'm glad I did.

It's official, the Colts have like we all expected tagged Peyton Manning with the franchise tag. With the franchise tag he is slated to make 23 million and change next year if the franchise tag holds up. Everything that I'm hearing is that nobody can agree on anything at this point. I sure hope that we don't miss any games this season. Scary, they may be out a long time.

I guess that I still got the Pacers who got much better by giving O'brien the (long over due) boot along with my Reds but football is number one!

I was wondering why when I looked at the bar there wasn't a last page to click on. Here's to hoping that something gets worked out so that no games are missed, I don't know what I'm going to do if it's football season and there's no football. At least for baseball, it looks like my A's are headed in the right direction.

I can't believe that someone would be so inept as to completely wipe the CBLSB off the grid! The bar has been open since when, Barkeep, 2005? I looked at the postings not too long ago and I, along with about 4 others, were among the first to get a drink here. Back in those days, I suggested nachos and buffalo wings. Now I bring my own food and come strictly for the potent drinks and the comraderie. I thought that CBS would have a backup server in place, but I must have been mistaken. Someone must have had a blonde moment and pressed the wrong key. But, hey, I guess you get what you pay for.........

About Manning, his being tagged as our Franchise players is only a stopgap measure. Believe me, when Irsay says he's fully committed to making Maning the highest paid QB in the league, I'm sure he means it. After all, Manning all by himself, is a game changer. All he needs (or needed) was a better surrounding cast and he would have had 2, possibly 3 Super Bowl rings on his dresser and banners from the rafters. As it stands he is, arguably, the greatest QB (even at this point in his career) to have only won one. And there has been some stellar QB's that have only won just one. In my mind there is only one who might be considered greater and if he was alive even he might be inclined to think in similar fashion.

Here's one for you.....and no cheating: How many SB winning QBs can you name?

I'll take some Patron in a shot glass, if you please, and put it, a la Albert Haynesworth, in the cleveage of a comely bar maid.

No sir, I won't reach in and get it like the idiot did his credit card and cup one of the the twins, I'll pretend to ask for something on the menu and wait until she bends down to help me and drink my fill from the fountain of youth. Maybe I'll use a cane and some dark shades.

Hmm....

Welcome back Thirteen!!! Cool

Hey Ad, my wife and I went to see Sam Kinison at the Indiana Sports Arena in Indy along with some friends not too long before he died. He also did the phone call that night from the stage and your right, it was funnier than h3ll. There will never be another like Sam Kinison. He is missed! Cool

Hey 13...I love the new place.
Let's get that jukebox going and if were talking about baseball teams, let's go Yankees!

Thanks MJ, I think I do too.

The new jukebox is playing Old Time Rock & Roll by Bob Seger as I'm yelling Go Reds!

Hey guys...saw this story on Sportscenter and I thought I would run it by.  It's about the NFL and the NFLPA.

The NFL and the NFL Players Association have agreed to federal mediation starting Friday in Washington D.C.

The two sides will meet with mediator George H. Cohen, who helped settle the MLS labor dispute. It's a positive step in that both sides are open to a third party helping to solve major issues. The process often works as a face-saving measure. The bottom line, however, is that there is nothing binding about the process and a new CBA can only be reached through collective bargaining. The mediator is essentially playing the role of marriage counselor.

Can't we all just get along?

Too bad about the old bar colts13, I'm sure this one will be just as solid. I saw that about the mediator and laughed where I work they are currently bringing in the same thing to get a new CBA for us signed, hopefully it works better for the NFL than I think it will for us. I wonder what the hold up is with getting Manning signed? The most money in history isn't making the pen move? Or is it more an issue of years on the contract? Cheers.

Hey MJ, I saw that too. I sure hope  it can help and get this fixed soon.

Too bad about the old bar colts13, I'm sure this one will be just as solid.

Thanks AC, I think it will too. A lot of good people come here to post.  Smile
I saw Jim Irsay on the news say the offer on the table for Peyton Manning is for five or six years. He said that he is willing to pay Peyton top dollars as long as he is able play well. He also said that he wasn't too concerned on whether the contract got done before March 3. He sounds mighty confident about it I just hope he's right.

Hey Diss I can't believe I was allowed to use my old account I thought I was banned for life but apparently not. I ended up seeing my old name on a post and clicked it and seen it was still active so I reset my password and voila I was back, only thing they did was give me a bunch of warnings and such which is shocking because through the help section I told the guy I was corresponding with that him and every moderator on the site could kiss my ass in great detail, apparently they knocked me down to rookie temperarily but I didn't even notice as I wasn't trying to use my account thinking it was toast, still not sure why my old password stopped working though. But anywho good to see ya buddy, atleast I have a back up account already made incase I get caught up with these bone heads again.

That sounds like good news 13 I hope they get it done sooner than later. Hopefully this week long meeting with the nfl and nflpa amount to some solid movement in the right direction as well. No football next year and the possibility of a home superbowl appearance for the Colts out the window would be a huge shame. Cheers.
