"If any QB folds it'll be Brady. He's taking this loss pretty hard..."

Like I said: [http://www.patspulpit.com/2013/1/21

]According to [ESPN Boston], Brady will not be participating in the Pro Bowl due to an "injury"(quotation marks are mine) while wide receiver [Wes Welker], nose tackle [Vince Wilfork] and offensive guard [Logan Mankins]will not be playing in Sunday's game.

Brady will be replaced with rookie sensation [Colts] quarterback [Andrew Luck].

Congratulations Andrew!!

Cool

is it true that the Patriots are the only team in the NFL that do NOT comply with
NFL regulations regarding injury reports?

I heard that today (from a totally unreliable source...OK, a co-worker), and was wondering if true.

Woo Hoo!!!!! Now I have a reason to watch, wasn't going to if Andrew wasn't going to be there, It really pissed me off that a QB like RG3 with all his staying healthy issues would be selected over A.Luck really showed me low information fans vote for media celebs than real players... Well at least it is a wussy flag football type game at least get to see him throw under no duress for the 1st time all season<<yes that was a knock on the offensive line!!!!! Just a quick thought that since Packers not happy with J.Saturday is he worth coming back to the Colts if not a starter but back up? I bet the Pack release him and at least he's not always injured like our centers all year, yea he old, but if he's cheap... Y or N...

There is a thread on another forum questioning weather to bring in Wes Welker????? You kidding me?????  He would have a price tag of 11.5 million a year when we could get a huge receiver in Bowe for 2 million less, A.Bolwin on the Ravens was a steal at 6 million a year and he by himself killed the Colts in the playoff game. And once again I'm glad Ravens beat us because of all the teams they had the best chance of knocking off the Patsies... Once again media turn a dink and dunk system slot receiver Wes into, well I don't really know what into :}LOL

Go Colts in 2013!!!!!

Go Grigson & get the Colts the players we need!!!!!

hey 514 is kubiak taking any heat for the loss to the pats. just wondering. and brady is finding out that defense wins championships. that was my point. the Colts put no pressure on flacco and he made them pay. without stops 0n D in the post season. it doesnt matter who is the qb

I hope Grigson is not considering it, we need o-line to protect the future with A.Luck and that's the priority, it's a huge topic over 100 posts on the forums on Colts dot com and some want to trade to much, if I were going to trade for a player it would be for a proven offensive tackle or G and wouldn't be a waste or a stretch with what you would get with a rookie and could start right away already NFL experienced, sorry everybody but I think new elite LG/C/RG/RT is more important then any other positions right now and next year then the defense, If the Colts can trade the 24th pick for a proven healthy and wanting to win attitude o-line guy I say go for it!!!!!

Go Colts!!!!!

Not worth the price; either before the acquisition or after, in other words the price it will take to keep him happy. Darrelle doesn't want to be paid as the top corner in the league. He wants to be the number one defensive player in the league.

That's huge.

And that's not all.......In order to get him, the team will have to make the Jets a warm and fuzzy offer that will go a long way to help them to forget him. That's gonna take a bottom feeding team or one that's loaded at a number of positions and can afford to lose a number of quality players as well as prospects (including draft picks).

Congratulations to the GM that makes the move. He'll have to be firmly entrenched as an executive with the team and have the total backing of the owner. There are a number of talented CBs in this upcoming draft; many of them over 6' tall. The Jets want to sacrifice their golden goose to get well in a hurry. They'll be a number of interested teams to see just HOW MUCH the Jets want. They just won't want to pay it - at least not initially. I see this scenario going down to the wire, on draft night. It'll be someone desperately needing a shutdown cornerback and willing to roll the dice.

Good luck on THAT one.

I watched the whole game and after last years touch/flag type football game fiasco and it still wasn't a 100% all out game but was ok to see some action and after next weeks SB will be nothing till the combine starts next month on the 20th to the 26th then the next big thing is free agency with March 9/10 teams can speak only to agents and on March 12th League Year begins at 4 p.m. ET, opening free agency and the trading period and which I hope Grigson waits till after the draft to get going on any free agents signings, never know anything might fall to the Colts, going to be some teams picking a running QB from small colleges to try and get the next great zone read option QB and thus a great O-line guy might fall so I got my fingers crossed because you never know and or if all the O-line prospects are gone who else would they consider and I will have my list and checking off my guys who are gone to who's available or they might just do the fall back method of best player available, my new saying "Any given Draft" :}

So after free agency starts is the before mentioned draft and it's going to be a head scratcher on what's going to happen, anybody want to do any speculations????? And the speculations don't just have to be about the Colts because I will be watching and listening to what BA does in Arizona, he might want Geno Smith and will wait if he does and can pull it off, he likes a pocket passer and Geno Smith sure is one of those and after the draft there really isn't much except coming and going of players on the Colts by dismissals and acquisitions, going to be fun fun fun!!!!!

Ok now about Luck in the Pro Bowl, the first snap as everybody knows by now wasn't good :}LOL I got pissed, but laughed it off because it is the PB and it was a center he didn't play with except a couple practices and a little case of the jitters maybe, I think it should have been a shot gun to get any jitters out of the way, so woulda coulda shoulda and the next couple series well after the jitter wore off he was good and scored 2 times and the last throw was a fluke I believe, but that is my opinion and won't change, the Colts need that BIG receiver and maybe Bowe might be that guy and need a receiver to fight for the ball like A.Boldwin did against the Colts in the playoff loss, I would be OK if they got Bowe in FA before the draft since I haven't heard of a big receiver worth getting over a O-line guy or a defensive player and a WR at the 24th pick is not a priority, if there is one any of you know of for a later round pick just point it out and I'll look and see if any Youtube of him...

Well enough for now! I'm sure I put someone to sleep! So till next time folks, TTFN...

Go Colts!!!!!

i thought it was funny how the afc put no real pressure on the qb untill mathis lined up at the end position. reggie is a great security blanket, but lacks the speed to break away. bowe baffles me, it seems like he goes thru the motions sometimes. but i honestly havent seen enough of him to make an honest assessment.

would anyone consider a trade to move the 1st rd pick into the teens to get someone. whats the word on chapman. if healthy next year he will make a huge impact on the dl i believe. which will affect our draft needs. bring on the combine

As of right now I think I'd just stand pat where we are in the 1st round and see who drops to us. Hopefully a good o-line guy. But if someone does start to drop maybe we should jump up to grab him. As for Chapman, I haven't heard anything lately, hopefully he is healthy because like you said that would be a big impact on the d-line if he is. And Wouldn't really have to look there early on in the draft.

Any specific player that anyone is hoping the Colts target in free agency? Personally, I really like Andy Levitre and would like to see the Colts attempt to get him on the o-line.

Anyways, I'm hoping Jim and the niners win this Sunday, then let's bring on this offseason!

Important off season Dates...

Feb. 20-26: NFL Combine (Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN)

March 9-11: Teams can begin negotiating with the agents of players set to become unrestricted free agents at the start of the league year (teams can only talk to agents and not the players during this negotiating window)

March 12: 2013 League Year begins at 4 p.m. ET, opening free agency and the trading period.

April 25-27: 2013 NFL Draft (in New York City, NY) <Can't freaking wait!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!

Dates for OTAs, mini camps and the start of training camp won't be announced until later in the off season. However, assuming the schedule is similar to last year, expect teams to hold OTAs in late May and early June, their rookie mini camp in early May and their full-team mini camp in mid-June. Also, expect training camp to begin at the end of July.

Basically, the only real change to the off season schedule this year is the three-day negotiating period before the start of free agency. While teams can only talk to the agents of impending free agents, it will allow for negotiations to begin before free agency actually opens. This means that you should expect the free agency rumors to get started a few days earlier than usual.

Ps. I didn't include all the regional combines before and after the main one in Indy, there are a lot and I doubt they will have any coverages... I didn't include any owners meeting either, what ever happens and rule changes like always will be announced ASAP...

Go Colts!!!!!
In Grigson I trust!!!!!

i just read how freeney has talked about wanting to come back here. anyone think he would sign a deal like mathis. also definitly want macafee back along with several other rfa's

being we only have 4 picks in the draft this year...i think.

i think chapman will be a beast in the middle. which will really help the lb's and secondary.

id like to see powers back but it has to be a contract with incentives. he's been good when healthy. just cant stay on the field.  looking foward to the combine....ohh yeah  pitchers and catchers tomorrow  yeah baby
