Negatvie.  I have and always will be a big fan of Albert Pujols and can not see him in any other uniform but the Cardinals.  The Brewers have played the Cardinals better than even up the past few seasons even with him in the lineup so it shouldn't matter as much as you would like to think it does.

The Cardinals restructuring Carpenter as well as Bill DeWitt's pledge to increase team payroll and understanding of what Albert brings to the club financially. not signing him could lose the Cardinals more money than signing him could. He is a HUGE part of their marketing strategy and revenues. Right now is nothing but the ugly stages. The Cardinals have never lost sight of the importance of history so they will do the right thing for the franchise.

Again to reitertate.  If he signs a deal worth more than the lesser of reported money (200MM), I will pony up no questions asked.

(sarcasm) Yup, any team that shows enthusiasm during the monotonous marathon of the regular season clearly doesn't have what it takes to win.  The Brewers have one regular player who is occasionally out of line with his display of emotions, and therefore they are doomed to fail in the playoffs.  No emotional player has ever won in the playoffs.  No team wins anything until they learn to act like they've already won everything.  They've got to "act like they've been there before", which apparently means they've got to act like winning championships is the only accomplishment of any significance.  (/sarcasm)

Look, the Brewers are the second best team in the national league this year.  I can admit that the Phillies are clearly stronger.  I'm confident that the Crew will win at least one playoff series.  Maybe more, maybe less... who knows?  It's the playoffs - usually the team that gets hot wins.  But I doubt that anything you said will have any impact on what happens on the field.  They can't win because Nyjer pretends to be an archer in the dugout?  Please.  I understand you don't like losing to a "punk", but neither wishing nor hoping nor your disdain for T-Plush will make your prophecies any more likely.
