Sacramento targets big-league baseball with NBA...

If the Kings don't want to stay in Sacramento, then they can come back to Kansas City! If a small market like Oklahoma City can support a winning NBA team, then Kansas City, which is slightly larger than OKC, can support one too!

Sacramento supports the Kings.. The Maloofs dont support the City or the Kings.. It doesnt matter what City get's the Kings. As long as the Maloofs own the team, they will be the pit of the NBA. It's a shame the NBA doesnt force a sale of the team for the sake of the City, Players and Fans. There was a brand new Arena set in place and they walked away from it over 2 million dollars "really". They dont have the money they use too!.

Padres will never go to Sacremento. Attendance is very high at Padres games especially considering how bad they are and PetCo Park was only built in 2004. I think Kansas City would be a good spot for the Kings.

Mayor Johnson needs to open his eyes. Baseball will not be in Sac... he needs to work on keeping the Kings and do whatever is necessary to make it happen.

The Kings are going to have a hard time finding a larger market. The only available markets that are bigger than Sacramento (1.7m) are Seattle (who just lost the SuperSonics to OKC), Tampa, Riverside/San Bernardino, or Las Vegas. Vegas would be interesting choice since they are a known market and don't have any current Major League teams of any sort.

As a huge A's fan, it would make perfect sense for them to move to Sac. Plenty of room for a new stadium & getting away from the b1tch a$$ SF organization with their territorial rights BS

Finally, I always wondered why the A's continued to look toward San Jose; imo Sacramento has always made more sense in the long run.  Build a stadium on the west side of town; many fans from the east bay would still support the A's in Sac.

Attendance *was* high from about 2004-08. You should see it now -- ghost town.  Even in 2009 when they had that last day race to get a playoff spot, during the month of September that year, the place wasn't even sold out.  Then when the team sucked even more in 2010 and 11, there were lots of open seats.  No end in sight!

Actually Oakland isn't that bad a venue minus that Mt. Davis abomination.
