heh yeah gallo is supposed to be the shooter, hopefully he can step up. his percentage is still a little low but actually I see him trending upwards in the last few games.
i think also if we can take a few of these road games - especially a win over indiana or new york - that would go a long way toward getting these guys in a rhythm. if we could head home with a win over minnesota that would be great too
Ugh, this season is turning into a nightmare already. I had high expectations for the Nuggets but they don't seem to be able to beat even the mediocre teams in the NBA, much less any of the elite teams.
Manimal (McGee scored 20 points and made all nine of his field-goal attempts) was stellar in last night's win over the Pacers. Still waiting for Ig to break out.
I wanted 50 wins, but Denver is playing basically .500 ball without anyone being injured. I guess the hope is to sneak into the playoffs and go on a crazy run in April/May.
Just not a very good team. Average to below average in every aspect of the game. I had hoped these guys would gel together but thus far it's been the opposite. Losing to the TWolves is just not a good sign at all. If we can't beat a team like that, in no way could we contend with the Spurs/Thunder/Heat/Knicks of the NBA.
Maybe we make some moves during the season and get us a SHOOTER and a big man who can score.
Looking better by the day now. They are streak breakers for sure. Ask the Lakers and Clippers about em. They need to make hay on all these home games after that brutal road stretch.
I like how as of late we are winning close games. I understand they arent mighty opponents but they are games that they gave up on early in the season. I think these close games make us better overall it shows that this team has some fight in em.
CNS- Some home cooking has helped and every W counts regardless of the opponents caliber. hitting 14 of 20 FGs in the 4Q last night against GSW certainly helped.
**THIS** is the team I thought we'd be from day 1. Apparently it took about 1/3 of the season to sort of figure everything out. Love the style of ball we're playing lately. Andre Miller gets my early season nod for team MVP. Just comes in off the bench and plays solid minutes every single time and always seems to be in the game in the last 5 minutes.
Really hope this upward swing continues and we don't play down to our competition.
clem- Great point about not playing down. Faried is getting more consistent and it's nice to W. Chandler back in the lineup. Solid W against the Blazers last night.
Chandler makes us probably one of the, if not THE deepest team in the NBA right now. When you have guys like Chandler, Miller, Brewer, McGee, etc. coming off the bench you're have a lot of weapons.
Faried is just a beast, playing better and better every game.
If I'm OKC/Houston I'm really fearing getting matched up with Denver in the playoffs.
