It was just bad timing for the Thunder game. We finished an overtime game with Portland the night before, had travel and it was an earlier game so I think the next matchup will be better. We are playing good basketball right now.
I told you they could get that one with the Thunder back. The played great tonight, Corey Brewer finally looked like the player he was drafted to be. Great win tonight!
This is the most Jekly & Hyde team in the NBA right now. Hard to fathom how we can lose to some really pisspoor teams, then turn around and beat OKC.
The refs nearly handed the game to the Thunder in regulation with some of those ridiculous calls and no-calls. Glad to see us pull that one out. I sure wish that version of Corey Brewer would show up every night.
I truly love this teams grit. They don't go away no matter what. They lose a badly played game against the Thunder, slip up against the Wizards but fire back and beat the Thunder on a game that should have been over with 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter. The refs fed the thunder 4 unexplainable fouls for free throws. They have a good game against the Rockets tonight and they are right in the thick of the West again winning some home games is getting us back on track.
I read today that McGee will be getting more minutes. Coach Karl has gotten more out of him than the Wizards staff did, but he still hasn't reached his potential. Big game @ Houston tonight.
Another big win. Starting to realize why I predicted 50 wins for this squad this year. Seems like every night someone new has a big night, tonight is/was Wilson Chandler.
Karl has to be absolutely beaming right now with the way Denver is playing. Just gotta keep up the pressure on these guys so they don't have any more of those off-nights vs. the lower-tiered NBA teams.
I don't think anyone really lost in that deal. Denver and NY are both infinitely better off after that trade. Personally, I enjoy this brand of up tempo basketball so much more than when Melo would get the ball on the wing, hold for 5 seconds and make his move. Andre Miller and Ty Lawson are great at pushing tempo and with runners like Chandler, Gallo, Manimal, etc. this team can really put up points fast. The beauty of this team is that not everyone needs to have their "A" game to win, we just need one or two guys to have above average games and that seems to do the trick.
So, has anybody thought about Iggy after this season? I assume he will accept his player option because it is almost 17 million dollars and he wont get that per year on the free agent market but do we get him with an extension? I mean he is very important to this team. Im worried about the funding. Mozgov, Stone, Brewer come off the books so we will see what happens but I could see a trade of Andre or maybe even Koufos or Randolph (Which would upset me) even though he isnt making a true contribution right now, but Iggy does worry me alittle bit.
No Iggy on this team and we dont have the same success. He is the defensive captain and he is on pace to win the defensive player of the year this year. He may not be worth 17 but 14-15 is not out of his range especially when we look to him for game-winning possesions.
