While these comment sections aren't gonna be the make or break for our fantasy seasons, they do add a lot of insight for us on injuries/local news from fans of those players/teams that we can't just get from news (on other websites we must use mind you due to this site not providing it in a timely manner. I wouldn't be against you guys actually adding a Twitter feed based on the player's name to these pages, although I'm sure you'd screw that up so just pretend I didn't say anything). Helping us make decisions for upcoming lineups, and players to add. Stuff you aren't just going to find in a news article.
To have these down right now, duirinfg our PLAYOFFS is extremely frustrating. That you haven't addressed any of the complaints about it so far is quite disconcerting.
I wish you were in charge of fixing this issue... It sounds to me like you know more about it then they do.... (the unknowledgeable carelesss staff at cbs) maybe losing costumers frees up rescources .. Make it an app then cbs and charge another 3.99 to use it... ... you seem to care more about thosethe anything else these days whatever it takes to make it work properly
@URABandwagoner, where is this extra sign in section your referring to in order to access the comment section? When I go to a player page ((( NFL - Marshawn Lynch or MLB - Stephen Strasburg ))) where the comments used to be there is nothing but a blank space. I also scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the page as suggested by another user and no sign in button exists on that part of the page. I cleared my cache, cookies and temp files. Flash, Java and windows are also fully up to date. And I added cbs on my exception list in my AV.
@JRTRage, go to espn and checkout the free League Manager setup, same as the $160 commish deal they do here. I have no clue how cbs is still getting away with charging for a service you can get for free elsewhere. I guess they will as long as people think they still have to "pay to play" in a private custom league. Shame on you cbs !!!
ESPN is by far superior to CBS. The only reason I even use CBS is becuase 1 of the leagues I joined 5 years ago has always been here. I will sway that by next year I promise you.
Still can't see them. Has something changed? Do you knot just go to your fantasy league page and click on the guys "full player page" to see and post comments?
I've been hosting my fantasy teams on CBSSPORTS for 5 years now, paying $160 each year. If this comments issue does not get resolved, this will definitely be my last year.
Some users have recently been able to post on fantasy player pages while some still can't. I've informed the developers of the issue and hopefully it gets resolved soon.
You're about to lose another customer. Restore the player comments to the player pages. That's why I even come to cbs for player news. Most of the stuff is from rotoworld anyways.
You can criticize me like others have been for knocking cbs preferring visual appearance over functionality, I don't care. Just sharing my opinion.
So now instead of having a simple, easy to use comments feed (that worked FINE) directly below the player analysis you guys have added a TOTALLY RAD BRAND NEW SOCIAL MEDIA MESSAGING SYSTEM at the veerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyy bottom of these huge player pages?
In reference to this particular troll that gk is talking about, he's apparently been banned and come back with another alias. Is there anything we can do to permanently remove this troll/spammer from the board in question?
Unfortunately there is nothing in the system that prevents banned users from creating another profile. But if you come across a profile that you believe is trolling, please use the ‘report this post’ icon to alert the moderation staff.
