Frost in the ditch, fingers and webbed-feet cold.  I think Bob needs to send out hot-toddies.  My experiences with union bullshit**** thinks that kinik will be right in that we won't have hockey.  The players are driven by gestapo intelligence and can't see the dollars from the trees.  What revenue is generated from a work stoppage?  Why should the NHL do a make whole when there is less than 66% of games that could possible be completed.  It is another strange occurance that DiePietro is actually working, go figure Wang.  Enough rant for tonight...I want Hockey!

"If members feel that the committees are not doing due diligence, they can instigate a vote".  Agreed.  Since the players have not instigated such an action they obviously feel that the committee is doing due diligence.  Stand down rediis.

So Chris Higgins could call for a vote or any other player in need?  I think we all should pound these little boy's.  Just my thought. :)

If you want to get "bullsh****....." check the intelligence of the guy that is using the "gestapo" in his posts.  Did anyone see Fehr wearing jackboots and a brownshirt while goosestepping into the meeting.  Some people must not know what the gestapo were.

If the union reps don't instigate a vote then it's not gonna happen.   The membership as we speak is spread across a few countries and God only knows how many cities.  They aren't going to instigate anything.

If Fehr and his clowns are communicating as well as you say they are with the rest of the union and if they are on board with what the union is doing they are fools for not voting on the owners most recent offer.  This would be their chance to let the owners know how serious they are and prove they stand united.

The only reason a vote is not being held is Fehr and his clowns know there is a damn good chance the players sign off on the owners latest offer.  And that's something Fehr isn't willing to let happen.

Right now I'm watching "The Mentalist".  I doubt that even he would not claim to be as good a mind reader as you.  Do you have any actual facts that the union is not united.  Any proof that the members are not rceiving communications.  Any proof that Fehr's team are clowns.  Anything of substance other than your renowned ESP.

Nobody gives a damn about 3rd and 4th line players, they're easily replaceable, the game revolves around the crosby's, ovechkins, and Kane's, if they're not happy, nothing's getting done, end of story, carcillo aint calling the shots anytime soon, sorry.

Realistically, though, how close are we to seeing this latest abomination of a labour dispute result in the cancellation of another season?

Although Bettman claims that he has not set a "magical" drop-dead date as to when the season will be nixed, this 82-day lockout likely is down to its final 40-day window to save the 2012-13 regular season.

It's simple math really. Bettman remarked in his doom and gloom press conference in New York on Thursday that he can't imagine anything less than a 48-game schedule. That means the two sides better strike a deal by mid-January.

Thats from Tim Wharnsby. Had a bummed feeling after yesterday's outcome. But, I guess from what ive read there is still a little time left. Very little.

Any proof that Fehr's team are clowns.
I'll answer that one even though it wasn't for me.

About 1200 or so tweets, blogs, rants, interviews, and written statements,  starting with Bolland's retweet, to Barch's fireside gripe-song, to Neuvirth's ignorant and uniformed backing of a teammate, to praise of the KHL, to the personal insults to other side, and finishing with a few hundred erroneous comments about what happened the last CBA negotiation.     The Washington Capitals alone do their fair share of damage to the player's image.     Unfortunately, the NHLPA has  a ton of growing up to do.

The owners have acted like they've been here before, it doesn't make them smart, or well reasoned, or better, but it makes it more difficult to dismiss them as idiots.

Things are bad.   They're going to stay bad for a while.   Even if Gary was bluffing about putting things on the table, I think they're going to stay off the table for a while.    I would imagine his team of mustelids will have to do some serious evaluation and planning as things are looking worse.

Now I can drink more at the holidays since hockey won't get in the way.   I'll have less to run my mouth about and more time to put booze in it.      I should start training my liver now.

It is the PLAYERS that don't give a crap. Please, let's all feel bad for EMPLOYESS making $2.5M/year on average. Which is an average 40-year CAREER for most normal citizens. Eff the players. Why the hell do players making that much money need unions???!!! Don't give me an answer, I will just tell you how stupid you are. No need for player unions. Even for the guys making the league minimum, which is what, $500K now??? Oh poooooor babies. The owners OWN the teams/companies. I am on their side, as should every fan.
