  1. Does your steel wool soap pad rust in the soap dish after you used it once?  Prevent the rust by crumpling up a piece of aluminum foil and placing it under the steel wool pad in the dish.
  2. Soften hard brown sugar by [wrapping] the block of hardened brown sugar in aluminum foil and bake in a 300°F oven for 5 minutes.
  3. Use aluminum foil to sharpen your scissors. Using a clean piece of foil, fold into strips, several layers thick, and start cutting.  Eight or nine cuts should do the trick.
  4. Make a foil collar around your piecrust to keep it from burning.  About halfway into the baking, put the foil collar over the edge of the crust and leave it until the pie is done.
  5. Don’t have a steel wool pad?  To clean pots and pan with baked-on food, make a ball with foil and using dishwashing liquid scruff the pots.  This is a good way to recycle a piece of foil and it works just as well as a steel wool pad.
  6. Speed your ironing by putting a piece of aluminum foil under the ironing board cover.  The foil will reflect the heat from the iron so you can smooth out [wrinkles] quicker.
  7. Get rid of starch build up on your iron by running over your hot iron over a piece of aluminum foil.
  8. Instead of buying disposable plastic pans or liners, line a metal roller pan with aluminum foil.  It works just as well and is cheaper.
  9. Rabbits, rodents, and other animals often chew on the bark of young trees during winter. Protect the tree by covering the trunk with a double layer of heavy duty aluminum foil.  Remember to remove the foil in the spring.
  10.  Pets hate the feel and sound of aluminum foil.  To keep pets off your furniture, cover the seats with foil.  To protect your pets from scratching or biting furniture legs cover them with foil.
  11.  Protect your furniture by covering the legs with aluminum foil prior to shampooing your [carpets].
  12.  To help keep silverware from tarnishing, store freshly cleaned silverware on top of a sheet of aluminum foil.
  13.  Need your glasses to read? Wrap the sides of your glasses with foil so you can wear them while dyeing your hair.
  14.  For easy fireplace cleanup, put a double layer of heavy duty aluminum foil under the wood grate in the fireplace.  Once the ashes have cooled, fold it up and toss.
  15.  To keep food from getting stuck on my cookie sheets, I line them with foil.  Clean up is a snap and my cookie sheets stay like new.
  16.  Use aluminum foil on a mirror instead of having the mirror re-silvered.  Tape smooth pieces of foil on the back of the mirror so that the shiny side shows through the front.
  17. To reduce static cling in your clothes, crumple up foil into a ball and toss into your dryer.
  18.  Use foil to wrap gifts.  Place the shiny side out and tie with a large, pretty bow.
  19.  Keep Christmas lights from getting tangled by wrapping the entire string in a sheet of aluminum foil.
  20.  Lastly, cover leftovers.
I have new material for my spring marketing campaign.

Thanks alfred.

Also provides comfort and eye appeal.
Wrap the sides of your glasses
Why wouldn't someone?

I've been using inky newspaper for a long time.   Maybe I'll turn it up a notch with Foil.

Good stuff.

I spelled the Panthers exactly how I wanted to, Panters.    This one was no brainfart or accident.

Looks like the Isles could be for sale. Anyone want to give Wang 300 million for a team that "loses" 10 million per year? http://www.nypost.com/p/news/busine

Can I apply the foil to furniture with plastic covers already on them?

I was thinking that since she was a defenseman, Holland would be hoping to land her in a trade.  The Wings could use anyone who can play defense.

Howard isn't worth as much as he was.  He hasn't done anything special in the postseason and there are way to many good goalies that will be available the next couple years.    Unless Kenny is going to land one of the vets on a discount, I think Howard has to stay.

Fair enough.  After further review and some research I don't think Howard is worth as much as he used to be either.  This summer isn't great but two summers from now there could be a bunch of excellent goalies available so teams might be patient and wait. Kipper and Ryan Miller are two big names currently not under contract for the 2014-2015 season.   And there are a few other potential good ones.  The Scrivens kid in Toronto is one.  Hedberg could be another.  Mike Smith.  I think both of the Blue's goalies too.   Of course some will likely sign extensions prior to becoming available but combine all  the names I listed with some others I didn't list and there's a lot of goalies available two years from now so I can see what you're saying about Howard's value decreasing because of this.  The playoffs I don't blame him for though because the Wings defense in the playoffs the last couple years has been sub par to say the least.

Tough to say on filppula.    If the wings want to try to do anything this year, Kenny has to keep him unless he helps land top 4 dman help.

I'd LOVE to be able to say my team is going to do something this year, but in reality I highly doubt they're going anywhere this season.  In my opinion doing "anything" at most is making the playoffs and losing in the first or if they're lucky the second round.

So I guess here's what I'm saying.  Don't wait until July 1st and be forced to pray to God these guys don't get better offers somewhere else.  If Kenny can get a top 4 dman for Filppula at or before the deadline then do it.   As for Howard, get what you can for him now and let the kids play goalie for one season next year.  Let Mrazek play a lot and let McCollum back him up.  Sign Brunner and let Anderson, Tatar and Nyquist play in the NHL and develop.  See what Smith  turns into and let Sproul come up next season if he's ready and see how he plays.

If Mrazek does the job, goalie position becomes ok.  If by the end of next season the Wings don't have a goalie they can trust they can always go fishing for a really good goalie on July 1st 2014.
