Alex Galchyuk will shine for USA Juniors.

I know a couple massive Habs fans and huge OHL followers who were happy beyond belief the Habs drafted Galchenyuk.  He's supposed to become one hell of a hockey player.  We'll see what happens but all indications say he's gonna be a really good one.

Big day in NYC. Get your rally caps on. Meetings on new CBA must get off on the right track.

My rally cap is a foil helmet with antennae.    My extra-size chinstrap is extra tight...I'm ready for the day. 

Anyone else having technical difficulty when first loading this web-site? Drop downs not working? Or is it just me? My fantasy sports had glitches also.

Yay! more guns and concealed guns in Illinois now.    With the amount of bars, belligerent drivers, and stoopid people I'm not a big fan of making it easier to carry small firearms around here.    I'm fine with large weapons, the small ones that any idiot can use haven't done much good for the region.    Gun issue zealots on both sides about to have some lively debate that accomplishes nothing other than to further polarize both sides and create a new class of idiot politician that panders to those zealots.     I can't wait to hear how crime increased or decreased because of the ruling (according to the zealots, and I'm being sarcastic) even though the dynamic and changing law enforcement approach will have far more impact than any gun law. 

With no hockey and a broken Bears team, this is really going to deter me from watching or reading any local news.    I think I'll make a bigger cave in the ditch.

All the reporters at the "secret location" of the mediated talks today.      They better get something done soon, I might really have to stay in a cave this holiday season.   The conversation topics this holiday season are crap for me right now.

Gun lovers and constitution backers will tell you everybody should be packing.  I mean you never know when somebody is going to try and carjack you.  Because when that happens instead of just giving up your car and walking away the better option would be to shoot the guy dead !!!!!!  Yeah, that's it.  Shoot to kill baby !!!!!!   And even the home invasion arguments make me laugh.   In comparison to the number of homes and the 300 plus million people in the U.S there barely are any home invasions.  And for every home invasion where a victim who doesn't fight back is killed there are a thousand others who were just robbed and not hurt.  My God I would bet 99.999 percent of Americans and Canadians never suffer through such a thing.  Yet for the one in 100 thousand that might and the 1 in a million that could have lived had they owned a gun we put guns into millions of idiots hands some of which don't know what they are doing.  The math just doesn't add up to me....

I've been putting little tiny team logos and numbers on the spiders in my garage and smashing them with my Gary bobblehead.  Therapeutic for me.

I'm done laughing at this idea, I've decided to try it.

Not all constitution backers.   I'm not calling for an end to firearms or telling people to buy more guns to end crime.   Having met thousands of hockey fans over the years, I would find Don and Gary foolish if they didn't have some security poeple with sidearms. 


On an uplifting note, absolutely no give from either side in the meetings on Wednesday.     League on a hill somewhere and players still giving up things they never had.

dunno, but if he watched jeopardy last week, he probably does now.

The jeopardy comment launched over my head.

Six and a half hours of meetings, and nobody budged on any issues. The union wants  players to be able to sign 10 year deals, the league wants 5 years, why not meet in the middle and drop the puck. How about they give the players 8, but don't sign any deals more than 5 years, just have all the owners sign a paper amongst themselves that they will abide by this code, sounds simple, no? Just drop the bloody puck!

two people thought it was prince, the third thought it was clapton.

I should watch Jeopardy, it's a good reminder of how much I don't have a clue about.
