BO'B back for 2013

Bill O'Brian has announced that he will be back for 2013! What great news.

Sorry for the multiple posts. CBS kept telling me that the post did not go through and now they all appear. I had actually given up after the third attempt.

Piers Morgan interviewed BO'B tonight..I think it was a good interview,
one of the questions that was asked and it stuck out.....the morning of the sanctions, he stated that the team as a whole had a meeting..... and he reminded everyone of thier commitment to the team..along with other points..

Leadership is everything and BO'B is certainly providing that. I can't wait for next season to get here!

He'll be in the NFL next year.  Book it.

Another brilliant comment from the idiot who strted a thread entitled "I love rectums". And he is so in love with them that he commented on his own thread twice. He was the only one to comment and then the entire thread was deleated by the administrators. You have no credability moron.

Rumors that he is leaving are starting up again. One insider said he is likely to leave for either the Eagles or Browns job. I'm hoping for the best. If he leaves I honestly think our program is in big trouble. If he stays I think we will survive the sanctions just fine, I really do. I like the talent we have and I like our current recruiting class. If he leaves though, we are screwed. Our current recruiting class would likely fallen apart, I'd expect Hackenberg to decommitt. Chances are the rest of the coaching staff wouldn't remain, and a lot of current players would transfer since they can still do so without penalty. Also, who would want this job right now? It was hard enough to find a good fit before the sanctions were announced, now it would be nearly impossible to find a decent coach. Praying that he stays cause if not, it could hold us back for close to 10 years IMO.

One thing to keep in mind though, he has a rather expensive buyout. About 18.4 million.

O'Brien's[name immediately surfaced as a candidate] for an NFL head coaching position after the round of firings on Monday. He was most closely linked to the new openings with the [Cleveland Browns] and [Philadelphia Eagles], two teams reportedly targeting him for an interview. The [Cardinals] and [Chargers] were two other teams also reported as interested in O'Brien.

BOB has in fact interviewed with the Browns.  It's rumored his agent has indentified an out from the PS contract related to them misleading him when he took the job.  I suspect he'll stay another year or two, but that's about it.

Looks like he really is loyal, maybe things are gonna break our way a little!

"I'm not a one-and-done guy," [O'Brien told PennLive.com's David Jones]. "I made a commitment to these players at Penn State and that's what I am going to do. I'm not gonna cut and run after one year, that's for sure."

Well mr Rectum, BOOK IT! Guess Mr. Peter King has foot in his mouth too. Not looking for a classy retraction, as that would be well beyond your mentality.

As an outsider, I was really impressed with what O'Brien accomplished last year.  Of course, he had a lot of help from a very devoted bunch of athletes.  I admit to having PSU penciled in for a 3-9 season last year--plus a whole lot of losing in the years to come--but as long as the Lions have somebody to step into the almighty QB position, it's not hard to imagine moderate success over the next few years before returning to the Penn State we all knew before.  The 8-4 season surprsed the hell out of me.  If it weren't for that mess and the defections, they probably would have won 10 or 11 games and went to a major bowl.  Good luck down the road, and tell the AD that a WVU vs. PSU OOC game would be epic!
