Isn't a top 5 pick supposed to be an impact player that needs to be accounted for on every play? I just don't see that being the case with a LB in a 4-3 scheme. Teo may be an excellent LB and leader, but I don't see him as being someone that has to be accounted for on every play. Like a number of you, I see the DE position in a 4-3 scheme requiring an impact type player, besides I anticipate Avril and KVB will be gone.
Round 1 pick: DE Bjoern Werner.
And for all of you that have been clamoring for Raiola's head for the last few years, I can't imagine that you would even think of passing on the chance to draft his replacement. I understand the need to focus on Defense in the draft, with all the glaring issues they have, but there is a can't miss stud that has played and excelled at all OLine positions: LT, OG, and C. He is an All American at multiple OL positions for the top program in the nation.
Round 2 pick: C/G Barrett Jones
While our CB play as a group has been terrible over the past two seasons, I also attribute part of it to injury for the many CBs that have lined up at the position. Houston has been the only constant, and we need to re-sign him. CBs usually take three years of development, with rookies rarely making an impact. There have been a few exceptions in the past couple of drafts, but I do not see a "stud", can't miss prospect in this draft at the position. Most of the "so called experts" agree with this assessment. IMO this draft is stocked better at the SS/FS position, and we are just as desparately needing to fill this position as we are CB.
Round 3 pick: S Bacarri Rambo

Easy was your word. I said it was a myth that it was hard.My apologies if my use of the word "easy" was misinterpreted. Lord knows I need to spell it out for scUM fans. I was basically saying that our schedule sure isn't easy. Heck, it's not even middle of the road. I'd say the top 1/4 percent of the nation is a pretty tough schedule. I'm guessing you only consider top 5 hard. Ugh.
Year in and year out we hear talking heads and ND slappies talking about they have the hardest schedule"Hardest schedule" is your phrase. No ND fans claim to have THE hardest schedule, just one of the toughest ones. My evidence proves that.
the facts are your schedule is always a bunch of names and it's rarely actually hardNo, that's your opinion. Big difference. 27th hardest schedule in the nation disproves your "facts".
I don't buy what you're sellingNot selling anything. The "facts" are right there in front of you. It's your choice not to read them and understand.
so as far as #27, I'll just say I'm not impressed. I'm sure you knew that already though.I know, your hatred for anything ND doesn't allow you to be "impressed" by facts.

Boy you were not kidding. 42 points!

I see the Lions dropping a few spot also and taking the DE available. I also think they drop down in the second round as well. I could see Detroit getting upwards of 10 picks out of the draft this year. This would be smart. This way after they roll Shwartz's clown azz out of here the end of next year, the new coach will have some players to work with.
