Great game today with the Canes, Glad to see a questionable 5:00 major didn't have an impact on the game. Briere kills the Canes and it would only be him that could hit the post but have the puck hit the back of Cam Ward and dribble in the net. But at least the Canes got a point.
4 games down 2-1-1 so far for the Canes on their 6 game road trip. Next game Monday at the Islanders and then Tuesday at the Devils before the Canes come home. If we can win those two, then I'd say the Hurricanes will be in real good shape this early in the season.
That was an ass whooping the Flyers took last night. Defense totally broke down and while the offense at times had good chances, they looked like crap on their PPs.
Better come out with fire tonight and take it to the Jets, or that 3-0-1 homestand was for naught.
Bounce back win last night. Still struggling to find chemistry on offense though. Bryz yet again has a solid game, can't fault him for 4 goals against on Monday, defense broke down in that game. Need to find some sort of consistency and pull off a 4 or 5 game win streak pretty soon. Win, loss, win, loss, isn't going to cut it when you start out 2-6.
Flyers are gonna have to start playing more consistent hockey if they want to get into the playoffs this year. I know this is a young team and all and beating teams like Boston, NYR, Pitt and NJ in the playoffs might be too big of task, but not making the playoffs will be completely unacceptable, especially if Bryz continues to stand on his head. Back to back games haven't been their forte this season, but thats going to need to change. Need to stay disciplined against the Devils. If they take penalties and NJ gets a couple of early goals, this game is going to be hard to win.
