I don't care how many vets or superstars u have on your team. If the Lakers allow 120 ppg, it doesn't matter. This is the absolute worst defense Iv'e seen in yrs!

If you root for the Heat to lose to the Western Conference team that will keep the Lakers out of the playoffs on the last day of the season, what it means is that your hate for the Heat is stronger than your love for the Lakers.  Your principles are essentially that you are ruled by hate more than love.  I feel sorry for you if that is how you live your life at 42 years old.  Yikes.

thats why our loss to portland wasn't all that bad... i would have wished we won it and those refs stop putting batum on the line, but hey, loss for the Fakers too.

Just a reminder that the Lakers are closer to LAST in the WC (4 games up) than they are to the 8th playoff spot (5 games back). Thought you'd want to know...

Right and it is not just about being 5 games back.  It is also the fact that LAL is currently #11 in the conference.  So even though they are 5 games back of that #8 team it is not as simple as them just catching up to that 5 game difference with that team (Rockets currently).  They could pass Houston and still not get the #8 seed because either the #9 team Utah or the #10 team Minnesota could also pass Houston and still be ahead of the Lakers.  So the Lakers have to play MUCH BETTER than they have been the rest of the way AND not 1, not 2, but 3 seperate teams have to fall off.  If two of those three teams fall off it is still not going to cut it.  It has to be all three.

As a fan of the Warriors I know from years of personal experience how hard it is to get into the playoffs when you get down 3-4 teams removed from that 8th spot.  Lakers fans are in unfamiliar territory with this.

Portland and Houston have both went on some serious losing streaks which means with a bit of work, the Lakers can easily put themselves back into to post season.

That my friend is the reason I supported the Mike Brown firing - unlike the others who have not paid attention to those little details, I have and a three game losing streak, then another loss after one win really spelled trouble to me. I was already afraid it would take the Lakers atleast a month to dig out of the hole five games into the season.  It's not easy at all

You don't think these teams are going to be on losing streaks the rest of the season right? Lakers haven't made up any ground on these teams in the last 10 games even though Portland is on a 4 game losing streak while Houston is on a 6 game losing streak. Portland should get back to their winning ways soon since they have a good amount of home games vs winnable teams. As for Houston they have some winnable games as well starting with road games against Minny & Houston.

As for the Lakers they play 5 games in 7 days starting tmr with 3 of them being on the road....I highly doubt they come out of that stretch with a winning record. I have them losing to Memphis,Chicago, and OKC....Wouldn't surprise me if they lose a early 1 PM start in Toronto tomorrow

I have no reason to think those two teams won't lose more games - and I have no reason to not believe the Lakers can start winning games. The games still has to be played - Nothing is written in blood or stone

I actually predicted LA to go 10-6 in January and they failed.

It's not about being objective.

I have LAL losing to teams who are better than them and beating teams they should beat.

When is the last time the Lakers beat a team who's better than they are?

Just because you got lucky one time doesn't mean you know everything and will get lucky again.  Considering where the Lakers were at and had not yet come together with a viable system just implemented a new coach even a ten year old child like Heatmyshorts was smart enough to figure out that they Lakers were not ready to start winning games and had a ways to go.   You've been around long enough to know, however that a winning or losing season does not guarantee a championship or complete failure - until the season is over.  Houston won something like 25 games in a row in the regular season - and where did that get them in the playoffs?

Lakers should make the playoffs because the bottom of the west is not as good as it used to be in the last few years. Houston is going to end up with 40-42 wins while I think LA finishes with 43-45 wins. Only team that can prevent Lakers making the playoffs would be Dallas if they get hot but I think Utah is almost a lock which means there is 1 spot left for 3 teams (LA, HOU, & DAL)

lol dumb faker fans the fakers are fighting for the 8th seed expectations have surely fallen and yet if they make it simple jefe says look out?
And you know damn well if the Lakers do get in (you won't admit it) but if they play OKC in the first round you'll be rooting for those same "Fakers" and their leader "Kobina" to take them out. Same goes for whoever the Pacers face in the first round.
