Tebow wouldnt do worse, though it wouldnt be alot better either.I'm a Chiefs fan, and I'm positive Tebow would have done better than Quinn or Cassel. He would have helped Charles for sure. You're right, he's not a lot better than the sorry starting QBs for these teams, but he does bring a dynamic to the table which we saw in Denver.
The Patriots showed how to beat him (don't play him scared, take away his first read, and attack head on) and his effectiveness disintegrated before everyone's eyes.
i liked Cassel, but he's hard for me to read on. he did fit very well in the NE offense, as for Quinn, he's a bust.Cassel was horrible this season. He had one good year with the Chiefs when they won the division with an easy schedule. However, their last regular season game against the Raiders and the playoff game against the Ravens was ugly, as those two teams blew up the Chiefs and bottled up their offense. Cassel didn't do anything.
If the GM of the Jaguars is saying no, then it's time to stop this rant.Fine, so who is their staring QB next season?
1) trade back or 2) stay there and take Geno who would be Reid's McNabb. it would be a bit of a reach, but he did pick McNabb and got booed, so i wont be shocked if he went that same route and reaches a bit for Geno.
The Jaguars are in no position to win next year and when they aren't winning they don't sell tickets, Hell even when they are they had to pull a ton of tarps out and almost picked up and left. If you get the home town hero as a sales gimmick that will bring a ton of merchandising, ticket sales, etc. Even if it is just for one year they still will be making money and creating a buzz on the team. But knowing how people down their worship Tebow, it doesn't matter how long they keep them they keep him he will sell tickets and generate interest. Even if he is just a backup.
Tebow will be the starting qb for the Jaguars next season. They have problems selling tickets for their home games and Tebow starting will fill seats. Tebow will start soley based on the fact people want to see him play no matter how awful he is.Oh Boy. Lets me just tell you 19th in attendance would say otherwise.
Fine, so who is their staring QB next season? With Caldwell at GM it doesn't seem to be too far of a stretch to say Greg Roman could be their head coach this time next week. And would it be too surprsing to see Alex Smith wearing number 11 for the Jags at starting QB rather then Blaine Gabbert next year?
