2013 Season Prediction Thread

Someone made this last year and it was fun just to look back late in the year and see how bad some of the predictions were. Most notably the Senators were the team that everyone was way off on. So if your not scared to look like a idiot at the seasons end put down what you think the standings will look like at the seasons end. It's mostly a guessing game so the sooner you do it the more difficult it is. So lets get those picks in soon.

I also stole Sens list, but switched the Sens with the Caps...  I see the Sens as the  team to give the Bruins a hard time - meaning because of the amount of games played against each other...

Bruins Capitals rematch in first round... I think a different result.

NS, sens and bruins can't both be in the top 3, same division.

as for the sens giving the bruins a run......MAYBE, if the were healthy on the back end, but cowen going down for the year hurst this team a lot.  they're likely going to be playing with 2 rookies on the backend, and 2 aging and declining vets (phillips and gonchar).  unless the young kids REALLY play well, or unless murray makes a move to bring in another top 4 guy, i can't see the sens seriously challenging for the division.  i do think they're way too good offensively and in goal to miss the playoffs though.  offense and goaltending will make up for shaky defense, just enough to squeak in to the postseason.

not sure why people are riding the Sabres so much.  they're weak up front (especially at center), dont' think they're gonna score a lot, so unless miller returns to vezina form, think they're gonna miss the postseason again.  if they do make it, i think they're sneaking in to 8th, on the last day of the season, certainly not in 5th or 6th, and DEFINITELY not winning the division.
