Lone star rivalry

February 8, 2013 4:51 pm

I think the problem here barney is the same one rain man has... lack of reading comprehension skills. However, let me play analyst in the box here and offer an explanation. It looks like to me that you are assuming others and I are inferring that Aggies won those wars all by themselves. Definitely not true. They were just a part of the effort. The point was and still is that A&M was focused on training students for the military (helping to win wars) at that time while Texas was focused on wiinning football games.

Now while that would be fairly obvious to most people with an I.Q. over say 25, I can easily understand how someone like you or Reggie could misunderstand it.   I hope this helps barney...and my other bit of advice would be to avoid the Ghost of Rudder if you want to keep your mall cop badge lad....just sayin'

First a Walgreens joke, then followed up by a burger reference...You really proving your point. I am gonna guess you were head of your class. I bet your pants were the whitest and tightest. Were you the loudest yellin' buckaroo in College Station? Did you squeeze your nuts the hardest on every third down?

Get ready yall...here comes another doozy of a comeback....

Oh, now some of you CBS posters are going to have me fired for speaking the name Rudder? LOL too rich...

Trust me, people that are actually in charge of my employment are quite happy with the job I do. They couldn't care less which football program I follow. They just want me to come to work everyday and attempt to contribute to the most crime free environment for students and staff that I possibly can. Sure, like any employee, I have my complaints with my employer. However, I am way more complimentary of the University as an institution than negative. Aggie football unrelated of course. Now Rudder Rudder Rudder. Take your best shot! I will be waiting for my termination letter...

Go easy on the longhorns people. Its tough for them right now. Im sure when Rome fell, you still had a bunch of Romans going around pubs and bars talking and acting like Rome was still an empire.

Hey Rain Man Reggie. Why don't you tell us all about your experiences as a student at Texas and where you finished in your class? (We all know the answer folks...Umm...well....I didn't actually go to Texas because I wasn't accepted and I ended up spending a semester at San Jac before I flunked out and decided working my way up through the management chain at Mickey D's was my goal in life...but, I am a Texas fan and I know how great they are and I bought this $2 shirt at Wally World to prove it.))

Hey Barney, you brought up Rudder...not me.....I just had to set you straight on him

I seldom see a positive comment from you on the University other than it is a good employer for you. Usually you are complaining about Bow Tie, the BOR, the students, the outlook and attitude of it's fans and alumni, etc. I know you like it there but you just have this inner turmoil  of working for the enemy that tortures your burnt orange tranny soul. It's okay lad..I understand.

As far as Rudder goes, the man died most likely before you were even born, so I doubt you have much insight into what he would think about a phag from Austin working as a mall cop on A&M's campus.  I think perhaps you may assume because he was the one who made the Corp optional and was able to transition the school to coed while integrating it too that he would thus not support the premise that Aggies were winning wars back in the day while Texas was winning football games. If so, I think you are way off base. He used his military history as reinforcement to make these major cultural changes at A&M, which of course grew the school from a small university to one of the nation's largest nowadays but that still doesn't mean he would sympathize with a Bennedict Arnold on campus either. Just the same, the man has been gone for over 40 years so I am pretty sure you are safe from him playing Terminator with you...that is unless you believe in ghosts...

P.S. Rudder was there on the beaches in Normandy winning wars with some more Aggies...BTW... not home sipping tea...just sayin'
