Vince Young & JaMarcus Returning???

MWR- Good stuff but tell me who knew Rusell was making a return?  No one!  You always jump on my bad stuff and rarely give me props on my good stuff.  You have given props and I have given you some props as well.

well, he's still 305 and was 320, not good.....as for making noise, he will have to show he can still play and that he has improved a bit on reading defenses which was one of his issues.

i dont like giving props when people ask for them....maybe if you didnt mention it, i would've. i did with Cam being a better than i thought QB give you props on that, but like i said, 1) it's too soon to answer what happens with Russell...for me a comeback must mean, he's in the nfl and at least as a backup for the whole year. and 2) i dont like people asking for props, i give it to them when they should have them..basically, if Russell would've made it back to the pros and you didnt ask for props, i would've given them to you.

MWR- That is clled a hater...  Losing 15 lbs is a big deal when you are over 300!  Every pund is crucial.  Come March, see how much weight he has lost.

Look at this, Young broke as a joke took out a loan from the NFLPA and tried saying he didn't have to pay it back. Not only that but he is suing a financial planner and his old agent blaming them for losing all his money.

JaMarcus Russell, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 [NFL Draft], is training for an NFL comeback.

The former [Oakland Raiders] quarterback, who hasn't taken a single NFL snap since 2009, told [Yahoo! Sports] he has dropped from 320 to 308 pounds and is ready to bury past criticisms.

"The last few years, the things going through my life, football is my job and it is how it feeds my family," he said. "People would say (that) I didn't love the game, but that pisses me off. People don't know the real you, but I want people to know the real me and see what I can do. People are always saying that I'm a bust. I want show them I'm not. I'm committed to this now."

The 27-year-old hasn't sniffed the NFL since getting tryouts with the [Washington Redskins] and [Miami Dolphins] in 2010, after he was arrested for possessing codeine syrup without a prescription. But he said he's ready to change the perception.

"I'm not looking for a pat on the shoulder from people who haven't been there for me," Russell said. "It feels funny not to go through a training camp, that's just what I'm used to. It's going to feel good to go back out there again. I will make this happen."

His biggest challenge will be to convince a team to give him a chance.

I don't know Ftballgenius, I could see Vince Young getting a chance but I'm not sure about JaMarcus. He is at 308 lbs and he is now 27 and with drug issues. Not sure I would want him on the Colts backing up Luck. I know everyone deserves a 2nd chance but also a tiger can't change his stripes.

If he is serious, he could make a squad but  chances are slim

no it isnt, it's truth....the guy needs to lose some pounds. his goal is 265, he's at 308, not good, BUT reportedly better than it was (320)....i applaud him for that, but he's got to get well under 300, no NFL team wants an out of shape QB.
Come March, see how much weight he has lost.

it's more like, we have WAY different meanings on comebacks and returning.

i dont make excuses, i admit when i'm wrong and if Russell does end up on a team, i admit i will be wrong, but if he doesnt then i think i'm right.

Jamarcus Russell:  Was a rookie holdout, showed poor decisions on the field,poor practice habits, has made poor decisions off the field, and is labeled as lazy.  Sounds like he's the perfect backup qb....

Vince Young: Had amazing athletic ability, poor decision maker, possily suicidal, headcase, poor team mate, and again is not known for his work in the film room.  

If these guys want to be back ups and eventually starters they have a long way to go. one of the key jobs as a back up QB is helping the starter prepare for gameday and going through game film and studying the defense.  these guys didnt do a great job of it as starters so why would they suddenly do it as back ups.  They had their chances and they blew them.  they may earn a roster spot but their days as full-time startes are over

Probably referencing how low character and dimwitted Young is.

If racism was the reason those 2 clowns busted in their careers then why hasn't Tim Couch, David Carr, Joey Harrington etc given a shot at 3rd or 4th chance? H*ll Ryan Leaf was more talented than Young and Russell put together and only had a second chance unlike the 4th Young would be on. Russell had his 2nd but then got busted, at least Leaf's substance abuse problems is because of the Chargers who forced pills on him to make money off their investment.

JeMarcus Russell is  a  loser just like most SEC fans.

Jamarcus = Greatest draft bust EVER. I knew it before he was even drafted. 

Comeback? If he is a backup for a year? No, he was a 1st draft pick and was drafted to start at QB. He did start at QB, even though he was the worst starting QB I have ever seen. A "Comeback" would be to do the same thing he did before- be a starter at QB.
