College Baseball - 2013

LSU gets win over ULL 11 to 2 as the Tigers get 14 hits.  LSU drove the ball very well getting seven extra base hits, 1 homer, 2 triples and 4 doubles.  Freshman Alex Bregman had two hits and four RBI's,  Raph Rhymes had two hits and two runs and Tyler Moore had three hits, one run and three RBI's.


Cody Glenn gets the win with seven shutout innings allowing only three hits.


Tigers continue to get outstanding pitching and a good hitting night.  Tigers are now 7-1 for the year.

There's going to be some good baseball games @ the Coca-Cola Classic in Surprise, Arizona. Not any of them on television! Why?

UNC ahead of St.Johns 18-5 late in the game....they have tee'd off on STJ's pitching.

Hawg - We have a similar situation with the Houston Classic.  You have UNC, Rice, California, Baylor, TAMU and Houston playing and NO TV!!  You would think ESPNU would pick up some of these at least.

Canes beat Div. II Barry 5-1 to run their record to 9-0. Now they go on the road to play that school up north. Lizards have had a tough couple of weeks, the have lost 5 in a row to Georgia Southern, 3 to Florida Gulf Coast and last night to Div. II North Florida. Ouch. Miami has not beaten thm in a while and hasn't won up there in a few years. Maybe this is the year the world gets back to what it should be. Go Canes. Hos gets back on track too by beating Va Tech. Now they go to Dook on Saturday for the ACC game of the year. Good weekend for Hurricane sports.

South Carolina / Clempson this weekend in baseball.

Probably the best non-conference baseball rivalry in baseball you will see all year.

Interesting setup... first game in Clempson, second in Greenville, SC, and third in Columbia, SC.

I'm not sure the Gamecocks have shown enough bat to be able to take this series.  Should be a great weekend.

#22 Texas travels to #14 Stanford this weekend. Collegiate Baseball rankings were used.

Vehemon.....should be a monster series early in the season.

Veh, I really like that set up.  Gives the majority of the state a chance to watch some quality CBB.

It's really because of the fact that neither team will allow that 3rd game be at either schools stadium. :P

If I remember correctly, they've played it at Myrtle Beach and Charleston before as well.

I didn't realize Clempson's team is very young.  I'm feeling better about this weekend now.

 

Heels in a dog fight with Rice 1-1 top of the 9th UNC batting. 1 on and 1 out.

Heels up 2-1, still batting....UNC scores on a wild pitch.

UNC wins 2-1......Heels are 8-0 on the season.......bring on Cal tomorrow at 1pm.

If a Charlotte game ever came about... *drool*

I hope they do...in the new uptown stadium.  I would watch that in a heartbeat!!  

Canes blow a 2-0 lead but get 1 in the 9th to win 3-2 and send FU to their 6th straight loss. Miami snaps an 11 game losing streak to the Lizards. Go Canes.
