I do agree with that....where did I ever say you had to throw for 500 yards  Rats ????  The only thing I've ever said is without a passing game you can not consistantly win...without a top rnning game you still can because you can use the pass like a run in screens or short dump offf passes etc....once the ball is in the RB's hand it's pretty much 99 percent certain it's a running play...while the ball is in the QB's hand...especially guys like Kaep or RG3 it can be any number of options.

Well some of the top defensive teams are not not in the Super Bowl either, so by your logic you don't need to have a solid defence to be in the Super Bowl.

The AFC's top running backs team was 2-14 and the NFC's was one and done....so by that logic you don't need a top RB either to be in the Super Bowl.

Saying you have to have a good quarterback doesn't prove you have to be a passing team, having the threat of a passing game and being able to pass when you need to is important, but you simple do not need to be a passing team to win, i'm not sure really what else I can say, facts obviously aren't enough to show you that your opinion may be wrong.

You better have a good defense if you don't have a running game. You ain't winning the Super Bowl simply because you are a top passing team. Examples, New Orleans and Green Bay during their Championship seasons. What happened the following year when their defenses dropped off? You guessed it, they watched the Super Bowl at home.

After watching the Super Bowl there were no defensive dominance by either of these so called "defensive teams" and the running backs for the most part were kept in check. This was about the QB's, the receivers and throwing the football. Add in a huge special teams TD and it was an exciting ball game. Both teams defences had thier moments and basically held the RB's in check but both sides put up 30 plus points .... San Fran had no answer for Flacco and his weapons and the Same goes for the Ravens as Kaep and his weapons performed well too. When you have an accurate QB that can zip a ball in tight coverages even solid defences like these two proved to be no match....Kaeps ability to run add another huge element out of the passing game. sadly for the Vikings unless Ponder learns to get alot more zip and accuracy on his throws or we get someone that can we probably won't be watching the Vikings in the Super Bowl anytime soon.

The Vikes won't be in the SB any time soon unless Ponder gets more zip on the ball and is more accurate and consistent...or unless we get another QB!!

The defenses were OK but nothing special and the running games were adequate but the QB's and WR's were the real story of this SB. Hopefully the Vikes will be in one soon w/ a really good D, solid passing game and solid ST play.

Falcco is one cool and accurate QB under pressure.....Ponder needs to step up this year or he's history IMO.

Its part Ponder, part our WR. If Ponder underthrows one of our receivers it gets intercepted, Flacco underthrew Jacoby by 8 yards and he turns it into a TD. Our WR do not make adjustments to the ball like that. The Ravens have 3 receivers that are better than our best. Ponder needs to improve, but he also needs players around him 

There was another pass that Flacco threw right into the DB's hands and Torrey Smith had to come back and strip it from him. There isn't a guy on the Vikings roster who would've made that play

ponder will never have a strong arm!  i was the smallest person on all my baseball teams and i had the strongest arm! either you got it or you dont! theres no lifting weights or whatever to get a stronger arm its there or it isnt all those throws kap and flaco made are throws that you need to make!!!! and throws that ponder will never be able to make!!
