I am in for this gathering on a few conditions:

In exchange for these conditions, you will see a 38 year old man pop and break dance.  I'm not proud of the skill, but people seem to like it.

There isn't any indisputable proof that hockey is a Canadian game because it was played in a variety of different forms starting 4000 years ago in Egypt. Ice hockey may have originated in Windsor Ontario but who knows ... everyone wants to be known for something so maybe that's their claim to fame :) Canadians did bring the game of Lacrosse to the rest of the world in thanks to our aborigine peoples :)

Interestingly enough most hockey sticks are manufactured in Mexico so I would venture to guess that if they ever got banned the unemployment rate in Mexico would soar.

If hockey sticks were banned I think that you'd see another uproar like the one that the NHL just went through but multiplied by a lot more because a ban on sticks would affect minor hockey in a huge way too.
