...veteran posters aren't able to edit their own blogs? It's been this way for over half year, and it shows nothing but laziness on the part of the CBS editors. Hopefully the upcoming new commenting system has this covered...
Users were never able to edit their blog posts. Once an entry was submitted it would be frozen and appear as read-only. Are you saying you can't even access or make new posts on your blog?
Apparently you could. Well you haven't been able to edit user blogs for several years now and it's not a feature that is likely to come back anytime soon.

...because why would you want to implement a feature that the users actually asked for?
I was informed that user's weren't able to edit blogs. Well, be that as it may, editing blogs is not currently something users are able to do. And there's no reason to think that'll be changing soon.
User blogs were created in 2008 and ever since about June of 2012, we have been unable to edit, rename, or write a description of our blog.
For instance, it would be nice to remove an outdated motto (my previous Dave Grohl impersonation), and to change my blog title from "The Eye of the HurricaneDij" to "HurricaneDij's Greatest Hits".
But no, CBS is too lazy to take control of their own features.
