Should Gooddell look into "Sabotage-gate"?

Sounds like Tim Brown ran out of money and is planning a book opportunity here.

I think what the OP is saying is because the game plan was changed within 72 hours of the game, there wasn't much time to get it right and it wasn't very effective. Because it was unpracticed that caused a lot of confusion during the game.

why would he (Callahan) blow his one shot at getting a ring?
Why would several members of a great baseball team (including some of the best players of their day) intentionally lose a World's Series?

Yet it happened.

Former players rich Gannon and romanoski have disputed Browns claim. Sounds like Brown is just bitter.

Weei was talking about this last night... They thought he was bitter too since he didn't get catches in the Super Bowl when he did the game before. When Romanoski is the "voice of reason" you know something is up
Romanowski might be the prototypical nutcase...but Rich Gannon ain't.

Not sure I see anything wrong with the NFL taking a cursory look into the matter. Can anything be "proven" at this point? Probably not, but you never know...

I think we all know whats going on here and are afraid to say it....

But I am not

The Patriots and Bellecheck are behind this whole thing -- the bastards.

Has anyone ever seen Tim Brown and Brady in the same room at the same time? Think about it.

I heard a clip on ESPN radio this afternoon where Rod Woodson is disputing Tim's claims as well. If Tim had an ulterior motive it is backfiring big time.

It's too long ago to find anything useful. No reason to waste time with it.

A SHOCKER: I TOTALLY AGREE WITH JDM, ON THIS ONE.

Also, I now hear, Brown is trying to downplay his statement. Should've kept his mouth shut, from the get-go!

In my opinion, if the number of viewers for this year's Super Bowl falls below 95,000,000 (from the 111,000,000 last year) there will be a look into the matter.

If there's a suit on someone's part (i.e., Callahan's), the NFL will certainly get involved. But since it looks as if Tim Brown is already back-pedaling, I don't think anything will come of it.

Why waste the time and money for something that happened ten years ago, just because 2 players are looking for someone to blame after getting their ass kicked in the superbowl?

So true! The biggest loser in all of this however may be Jerry Rice who co-signed with Tim on this with his 'kind of sabotage' comment. His (Jerry's) credibility definitely takes a hit going forward.

Why? Because if there WAS impropriety on that grand a scale, something should be done. After all, the one accused of this is still in the league; if he actually did what Brown and Rice accused him of, do you seriously want him in the league?

If i was Goodell i would be worrying about Mike Holmgren and Pat Shurmur before i was worrying about something that happened 10 years ago. It sure looked to me that Shit****tmur sabotaged every game this year.

I actually think Tim Brown is trying to take some of the heat off of his boy friend TE'O. why else would something this stupid come out 10 years later?????? what a joke.

Now that I have heard how the process works in narrowing the field for the Hall of Fame candidates I think Tim made his comments to keep his name in the conversation with the Selection Committee.

I know that selection is based on 'On The Field Performance', however there is nothing preventing acts of desperation (e.g. Tim's absurd allegations) to keep your name in the conversation.

If it works and Tim gets elected to the Hall he will by far be the biggest d-bag of this year's class going into the Hall by throwing Callahan under the bus.

Sanity prevails.

Not only did Tim Brown's attempt to throw Bill Callahan under the bus to keep his name active among Hall voters fail (he was cut in the first round of Final voting), but Super Bowl 47 was the most watched Super Bowl ever. Therefore, don't expect any investigation into "Sabotage-gate".

No matter where you stood on this issue, I thank you (with 5 stars) for your comments.

IDK...what I find most odd out of this story is that Callahan, who took the Raiders to a superbowl, can't get a job now. I think he fixed the game. I think Tim Brown does have some credibility here despite the 'axe to grind' you guys think he has. I think Goodell should investigate it but if the game was actually fixed, I'm sure he'll dismiss it just like you guys say and not investigate. I'm not saying that's what happened, but there's nothing wrong with investigating especially concerning accusations of tanking the biggest game in American Sports.
