Offseason 2013

Go back to HS Nos and learn some English.... coming from the guy that could probably have every one of his posts torn to shreds by any English teacher. I completely understood what you were trying to say.

MJ, your posts would cause an aneurysm for an English teacher.  But every poster on this site could have every one of their posts corrected to a point.

If Patterson is gone at 23 I hope they go defense with the pick maybe someone like Sharrif Floyd or Jesse Williams and wait until the 2nd round for a receiver.

Yea No to Te'o, I think all of this will be a distraction for him and his next team.

Is it really worth spending a 1st on a WR this year when the talent does not drop off all that much into the 2nd rd graded prospects?

Good point VIKEster33.......I personally just hope if they honestly believe Ponder is the answer at QB that they give him a deep threat that works to his strengths. We need a really physical WR that go up for the ball to bail out those weak off target throws. It'd be nice to have a Moss type speed but a P. Burress type of WR is what I'm looking for. Route running is fine but in this case I'm just hoping for a guy that'll take the top off defences on go routes. Whether that be in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round is fine as long as he fits our QB's strength or in this case weakness.

While that may be true, Patterson is a special talent, there is no guarantee at 23 but we have a huge need at WR, why not get the best one in the draft? I like Sharrif Floyd but you can usually find a good DT in the 2nd or even 3rd rounds. I am not sold on Kevin Minter and he has been falling on draft boards recently, he's not that strong and he's not that fast, he played on a great team, I hope the Vikes stay away from him.

Peace...

Damn it would be nice to land patterson, but the more i see, the more I think he won't be there at 23. I think Aaron Dobson would be a good fit for our offense and a good value for our second round pick. Good size, good speed, excellent hands and uses his body well. Having played at Marshall, he hasn't faced the best defenses, but i think he'll be a great pro

I agree I don't think he will be there either and you know we ain't trading up for him. I agree on Dobson as well although I cant seem to find accurate 40 times for him, some say he ran a 4.3 and others say he ran a 4.5, but he does look like he could be a good receiver at the next level and probably will be available should we want him with our 2nd pick.

if we get a (YOUNG) WR in FA i wouldnt be dissapointed to much if we go DT or LB 1st then WR then maybe guard or something but if pattersons there i dont see how you dont take him...keenan allens pretty good too

Agreed, if they somehow get Dwayne Bowe and keep Percy i'm not sure they have to draft a receiver at all.

Thats funny that you think that Teo is gay, Mary Jane.  How can you not know the difference between a man's voice and a women's?   Then the other guy comes out  and says that he is in love with Teo.  The whole fake girlfriend story was used to cover up the fact that he is gay.  You still have guys like Chris Cullivers who don't want gays on thier team.  Its still not cool to be a gay football player.
