2013 Loser's Game Sign Up Sheet

This is the 3rd year of the Loser's game and can anyone knock off our 2 time defending Champion Danny_49? 

Here are the rules, please sign up so  I can get the spreadsheet together.  Please note the changes in bold.  If you have a question ask now before the game starts.

NOTE THE TOP 35 CAR NUMBERS WILL LOCK AFTER THE 5^TH RACE OF THE SEASON AND THAT LIST WILL BE THE SAME THROUGH DAYTONA IN JULY AT WHICH TIME I WILL UPDATE THE LIST FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON

Here are the rules for the 2013 Loser’s game.

1. Each week you will pick a driver you think will not win the race
   2. Points will be awarded as follows: 43 if you Car comes in 43rd position, 42 points for 42nd position etc.
   3. If your Car wins the race you are ELIMINATED
   4. The 1st 5 races of the season you may pick any car number that  qualifies for the race, starting race 6 (Martinsville) you will only be able to pick Cars in the top 35. NOTE: The top 35 starting at Martinsville will lock for this game for ease of management. I will update the top 35 after Daytona,  but beware you still cannot duplicate a Car after I update the top 35.
   5. Picks shall be in by 12:00 PM on race day period.
   6. If you do not pick a car or duplicate a car you score 0 points. If you miss or duplicate a car, or any combiniation of both, 3 times you will be eliminated.
   7. Upon the start of the chase a new game will start for the chase and if were eliminated you may participate in the chase. All entries in the regular season will be in the chase automatically. (rules for the chase will be posted at that time).
   8. A $25.00 I Tune card, or similar item with the same value at the winners request, will be awarded to the regular season champion.
   9. Standings will be posted on NGS and a link will be provide
   10. You Must make a pick the last week of the season, if you are still in the contest, or you will automatically be eliminated. No Free Ride

PLEASE NOTE THIS YEAR YOU ARE PICKING CAR NUMBERS NOT DRIVERS THIS WILL MAKE IT EASIER FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO PICK THE 55 CAR OR IF A TEAM CHANGES A DRIVER LIKE WE HAD HAPPEN LAST SEASON.  I WILL REVERT TO  THE DRIVERS COME THE CHASE.

Note 1: You are encouraged to start your own spreadsheet to post your picks as Excel will do an autofill if you start typing the same name. This will help to avoid duplicates.

Note 2: reminders that a pick has not been submitted may or may not happen. So don’t depend on me to send the reminder. I will start the thread each week for you to post your pick.

I'm in. So if Mikey is the loser in the #30 at Daytona and the loser later in the #55, it's not a duplicate.

This will be easy, just don't let Danny play. I'm in, not sure if I like the new rules, but since I don't run the game I don't have any say in the matter. No worries, hopefully I can do better than last year. At least I made it to the end.

That would be correct 43.  The reason for the change is because of what happened to AJ and Junior last season and the Danica, Reutimann tradeoffs, and the 3 different drivers for the 55.  It got to be a pain to see if anyone duplicated anyone else.  So by going by CAR number if will be easier to keep up with. 

But you also have to remember if you pick Mikey in the 30 you are done with that car number the rest of the year. 

Which rule don't you like the Car number of the 12:00 deadline Section?

And BTW it is 12:00 PM EST or EDT or I could just say by 1200 hrs the day of the race. 

I'm in.  I had a lot of fun with the chase version last year and can't wait to start from the beginning this year.

Deadline is 12:00 the 24th of February, the day of the Daytona 500.

Not a big fan of the number thing, but I will deal with it. Last year I set up a sheet, and factored in each drivers average finish at various tracks to plan out who I would pick all year. Doing it by Number will make it a little more difficult.

The 12:00 thing is fine with me, this way it's in the rules, so there shouldn't be any confusion.
