watched the sens vs. pens game(the sens are one of my son's fav. team)

The third period by the refs were a joke

Thought it was a Great game until about half-way through the third......oh well..

Refs always hose the losers.  Ask any loser.

can you be more secific on the hosed. Like did the ref shoot somone in the leg or miss a call.

oh, NO! what did you do? Or not do? my daughter is just under a month and she's already decked out in Flyers gear.  Alfred, I know you. I know you tried. Wha happen? Fan of black n red? Spezza? Alfie?

At least he's a hockey fan, and I guess he's not a Rangers fan.  Those are plusses.

i think being a philly fan is a good lesson in not always getting what you want. like winning, for example.   

Of course, he's learning that as a Sens fan I suppose.

I wouldn't say they got hosed.  i say 2 plays that could/should have been penalites......karlsson was clearly tripped going over the blue line. bad no call.   and adams boarded/hit to head on smith......although smith was ducking down a bit, so i put equal blame on him.

the interference call on phillips was BRUTAL, but it happens.  there have been so many ticky tack interference calls this season, you can hardly criticize just one.

i only heard the first 2 periods on teh radio, so i'm not too sure what happened earlier.  that being said, the sens have been awarded the fewest PP's of any team for the last 2 seasons, and this season looks like it's shaping up teh same way.  i've accepted it, and moved on.

and besides, i don't blame the refs for that loss.  both teams played like poop, it looked like a preseason AHL game.  sens had several chances to win that game, and didn't capitalize.  if anderson stops just 1 shot in teh shootout, ottawa probably wins.  i'll take the point, that's 7 of a possible 10 to start the year.  sens sitting 4th in the conference.  i'm happy with that.

I wouldnt say they got hosed as there are always calls in every game but I would say the Pens definately benefited from at least one call/noncall (dont remember specific play) last night. Sens outplayed the Pens last night but once again the SO saved the Pens bacon.

yeah, once it went to the shootout, i knew ottawa was cooked.

i think the pens have the best, or 2nd best all-time record in the shootout.  and ottawa has the worst, or atleast bottom 3.  when karlsson missed those 2 wide open shots, from 15 feet out, in the last minute, i knew pitt was gonna win that game.

I'm assuming that by "defensive playoff style hockey", you actually mean "sloppy, AHL preseason style hockey".  that game was UGLY, and probably should have finihsed 15-14, had it not been for solid goaltending, and both teams inability to actually hit the net.

Put that Zamboni driver in the box for 5 minutes for tripping.  He should have had that bump smoothed out between periods.  Should never  allow the blue line monster to trip someone. 




Ok, I just had to have fun with that one.  It was right there for the taking.

It's my fault..I miss hockey so much,that we go to the Binghamton Senators games alot,hence I see how JUST ONE of my sons loves the Ottawa team.(he does pull for the Flyers..just not against Ottawa)

 the sens scored in the third but it got waved off, hence the hose job...

Doesn't the puck usually go all the way across goal line to be awarded goal? Nothing to waive off if that doesn't happen.
